      <p class="para_topic">The Ejector Pin function alters the length of ejector pins that were created using the Standard Parts function and sets the fit distance (the length of the tight fitting ejector-pin hole). The Ejector Pin function uses the parting sheets used in forming the cavity and core (or regions extracted from the finished cavity and core), so the cavity must be created before using the Ejector Pin function. When ejector pins are created in the standard parts process, you must select a pin that is longer than necessary so it can be adjusted to the correct length.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">The Ejector Pin Post Processing dialog provides two processes: Trim Process, and Trim Component.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Fit Distance</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Fit Distance value controls the distance between the lowest point of the ejector pin hole and the level of the ejector pin clearance hole. Ejector pins can be selected individually to alter the fit distance for any one of them. The default value for Fit Distance can be set in the Mold Wizard preferences file.</p>

      <p class="para_division">Ejectors components contain TRUE and FALSE bodies. The ejector pin holes are formed in the core inserts with the use of the Cut Pockets function. The Ejector pin processing function may be set to process only the ejector pin found on the TRUE reference set, or the cutter body found on the FALSE reference set, or both. If you do not trim the FALSE bodies, be sure to use the Target and Tool method when cutting pockets for the ejector pins to avoid cutting unwanted holes in the cavity.</p>

                        <p class="para_note_body">The ejector pin processing function creates and saves a new part file for each ejector pin occurrence. This is because all ejector pins are potentially different and need to be independent of each other.</p>

                        <p class="para_note_body">Recognition of an ejector pin in the Ejector Pin function is based on the existence of the part attribute UM_EJECTOR=1. Therefore, if you create a custom ejector pin, ensure that this part attribute is present.</p>
