      <p class="para_topic">Drawing borders, title-blocks, and preferences must be customized to meet the needs and preferences for your company. This section provides information on creating a template that incorporates your specific requirements.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Templates</div>
      <p class="para_division">Assembly Drawing uses templates to create drawings. These templates are placed in the following directories:</p>
      <p class="para_division">.../moldwizard/drafting/assembly_drawing/english (if the template part is in inches)</p>
      <p class="para_division">.../moldwizard/drafting/assembly_drawing/metric (if the template part is metric)</p>
      <p class="para_division">Default English templates are available for the drawing sizes B, C, D, and E, and &nbsp;default metric templates are available for the drawing sizes A0, A1, A2, and A3.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The following sections explain the process for creating customized drawing templates.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Customization</div>
      <p class="para_division">Before beginning the customization of the drawing borders, you need to understand the methods used to add borders to drawings in the NX Drafting application.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Drawing Views</div>
      <p class="para_division">The drawing views supported in Assembly Drawing are as follows:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">All the standard mold drawing views - core, cavity, front section, and right section.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Regular NX drafting views - back, bottom, front, left, right, TFR-ISO, TFR-TRI, and top.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Section Views. To get section views in the template, you have to specify their names in the MW_Drawing_SectionViewNames preference in <b class="uiTerm">Mold Wizard Customer Defaults</b>. Specify the names of all the section views for the template that you would like to see in a regular Mold Wizard drafting session. Take into consideration that the views that are available are taken from the template when specifying them in <b class="uiTerm">Mold Wizard Customer Defaults</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">View Display Preferences</div>
      <p class="para_division">The preferences for the creation of views are taken from the template. Set the preferences in the template accordingly. You can do so by picking Preferences&rarr;View in the Drafting application.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Drawing Borders</div>
      <p class="para_division">Three methods are used to add drawing borders and title blocks to drawings:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Import Part</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Retrieve Pattern</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Combined Import Part and Retrieve Pattern</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">Mold Wizard uses an automated version of the import part method to add drawing borders.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Import Part Method</div>
      <p class="para_division">The import part method imports a template file that contains a drawing border and title block. Mold Wizard uses an automated version of this method. The imported drawing border and title block are completely editable.</p>
      <p class="para_division">A drawing template is created as follows:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Create a part file in the Mold Wizard drafting directory with a name such as drawing_master_d.prt (for a D-sized border in an inch units drawing).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In the Drafting application, draw the lines forming your border and title block. Add the text to your border using the Annotation tool.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Save and close this file in the drafting directory under the Mold Wizard drafting directory (.../moldwizard/drafting/assembly_drawing/english).</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <ul>

      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Retrieve-Pattern Method</div>
      <p class="para_division">The retrieve pattern method links an image of a drawing pattern to the current drawing. Since the retrieve pattern method is a linked version of the pattern instead of an imported copy, it is associative to the original pattern.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The advantage of the retrieve pattern method is that any changes made to the original pattern updates all drawings that are linked to that pattern the next time they are opened. The limitation of this method is that the linked pattern is not editable in the individual drawing, so it's only suitable for borders, notes, and title block features that don't need editing.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Patterns are added to drawings from the Drafting application. Pick Format&rarr;Pattern&rarr;Retrieve Pattern.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Combining the Import-Part and Retrieve-Pattern Methods</div>
      <p class="para_division">The import part and retrieve pattern methods may be used together to create both a drawing border that is associative to a master pattern, and editable text. The combined method is set up as follows:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Create a part file with a name such as drawing_master_d.prt. In the Drafting application, create a drawing border and title block, complete with annotation (text).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Save a copy of this file with a name such as drawing_pattern_d.prt.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Save a copy of this file with a name such as drawing_text_d.prt. You should have three copies of this part file.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Open the part file drawing_pattern_d.prt. In the Drafting application, delete all the editable text in the retrieved pattern. Set the save options to Save Pattern Data. Save and close the part. This part is the master pattern file for the non-editable features of the title block and borders.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Open the part file drawing_text_d.prt. In the Drafting application, delete everything except the text that will be editable after it's imported. Save and close the part.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Keep the drawing_master_d.prt file in a safe directory for future editing.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
