      <p class="para_topic">The Die Design Setting dialog lets you specify the following progressive die parameters, which can be later used&nbsp;in downstream design:</p>
      <p class="para_topic">SHUT_HEIGHT specifies the die base height at close status. This value affects press machine selection.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">MACHINE_STROKE specifies the die set open distance.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">&nbsp;PUNCH_PENETRATION specifies the depth of the piercing punch&nbsp;that goes into the piercing die. This value is also used as the default to calculate piercing punch length. This value is adjustable for each piercing punch design in the Insert Group Design module.&nbsp;</p>
      <p class="para_topic">STRIP_LIFT_HEIGHT specifies the metal strip lifted height when the die set is in open status.&nbsp; It is used as the default value for design guide lifter or lifter. This value is adjustable in the Insert Group Design module.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">PUNCH_DIE_CLEARANCE specifies the single side clearance between piercing punch and die.&nbsp; It is&nbsp;affected by material thickness and is adjustable in the Insert Group Design module.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The following two options allow you to import/edit the defaults file in a text editor.</p>

      <p class="para_division">All <b class="uiTerm">Progressive Die Wizard</b> defaults are set using the <b class="uiTerm">NX Customer Defaults </b>utility.
