Creation of the hole report requires two steps:

The hole report is created from the Drafting application. Within the Drafting application, you can be in either the modeling state (Display Drawing toggled off) or the drawing state (Display Drawing toggled on).

The Hole Report function automatically identifies the top-most face that contains holes. If it doesn't find the top face with holes, it outputs an error message and the function exits.

Selection of Origin

In the modeling state, this is done automatically.

In the drawing state, the Origin and View dialog is displayed. Select the origin, then select the view.

Select Origin

In this selection step, you define an origin for calculating the coordinates of the holes. The Hole Report function uses the ordinate origins for this purpose. This is similar to the creation of the ordinate origin in Drafting. Select the object where the ordinate origin is to be created, and in the dialog enter the ordinate origin name. A new ordinate origin is created for the object selected. Alternatively, you can select an existing ordinate origin.

Select View

In this selection step, you're prompted to select a view from the graphics area or from the Origin and View dialog box. This view is used as a reference for creating the hole report. After selecting a view, pick OK.

Picking the Location for the Hole Report

After the Hole Report function automatically finds and categorizes the holes, it prompts you for a location for the report. NX changes to the rubber band mode and the Hole Report function places the report at the location point you pick.
