      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Spot welds are weld joints that can be defined by one or more locating points. You can use the <b class="uiTerm">Weld Point</b> functions to create, preview, and edit the following types of spot welds:
      </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Resistance Spot</b></p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Arc Spot</b></p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Dollop</b></p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Clinch</b></p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Weld Nut</b></p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Weld Stud</b></p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">One of <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/weld_point_custom_ht.html');return(false);">five customized weld types that you can define</a>, such as self-piercing rivets

      <p class="para_topic">You can define a customized weld type with the <b class="uiTerm">Weld Assistant</b> customer defaults. Defaults also control the availability and order of weld types in the <b class="uiTerm">Type</b> list on the <b class="uiTerm">Weld Point</b> dialog box.
