      <p class="para_topic">Clearance Management lets you assign or check the clearance between insert groups, standard parts, and die plates. The clearance is implemented through offset feature faces after cutting the pocket. You can also determine if the clearance has been created.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">Most of the insert groups in the PDW-provided library have default clearance values. You can edit these clearance values during design.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Clearance Management Dialog</div>
      <div class="title_division">Assign</div>
      <p class="para_division">Assign lets you assign or check the clearance of an insert group or standard part. This option is also provided in the Standard Parts module as the Clearance Setting option.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The Part field displays the part name of the selected object.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The Edit field displays the clearance data file name. </p>
      <p class="para_division">The Clearance Data File lets you select predefined clearance data files. These clearance data files are usually found in the directory: $PDIEWIZARD_DIR/configuration/clearance_data/. Because the clearance value might be different for different strip thicknesses and different plates, you can create many clearance data files to fit your company's standards. We recommend that you name the data file using the following conventions:</p>
      <p class="para_division">&lt;Strip thickness&gt;(&lt;Unit&gt;).&lt;Part Type&gt;.&lt;Plate1&gt;.&lt;Plate2&gt;.xls</p>
      <p class="para_division">For example, 1.2(mm).punch.BP.SP.xls represents a punch insert which has a clearance in Backing Plate and the Stripper Plate when the sheet metal part's thickness is 1.2mm.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Edit Dialog Configure File lets you open the dialog configuration file ($PDIEWIZARD_DIR/configuration/clearance_data/dialog_config.xls). You can configure the number of toggle buttons to display (maximum of 10). You can change the label (the name of the plate). </p>

      <p class="para_division">Edit Clearance Data File lets you open a spreadsheet to edit the clearance data file.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Check Boxes and Edit fields</div>
      <p class="para_division">Select the Plate check boxes to specify the desired die plates. Enter clearance values for each selected die plate in the edit field.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Select the Highlight All the Same Clearance Face check box to select all the faces that have the same type of clearance, as predefined in the template library.</p>
      <div class="title_division">To Assign or Check Clearances:</div>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the faces for which you want to set clearances. You can only select the face of a FALSE body. &nbsp;The system displays the predefined clearance setting for checking purposes.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">&nbsp;If you want to modify all the predefined faces, select the Highlight All the Same Clearance Face check box.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter the clearance values or use those from the predefined clearance data file.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click Apply, and the system applies the clearance settings.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <div class="title_division">Identify</div>
      <p class="para_division">Identify lets you list all the related clearances for standard parts or die plates.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Choose Standard Part to list clearances for standard parts and insert groups. </p>
      <p class="para_division">Choose Die Plate to list clearances for die plates.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Select the Show Selected Part and Target Holes Only check box to show only the selected object and the part which the selected clearance feature is in.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The system lists all the clearance features related to the selected objects. Click a clearance feature to highlight it. Double click a clearance feature to edit the clearance value.</p>
