      <p class="para_topic">To control the visibility of the components in each view in the drawing, you need to assign visibility attributes to them using the Visibility tab.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Attributes</div>
      <p class="para_division">Progressive Die Wizard has two attributes that you can assign to a component:</p>
      <p class="para_division">MW_SIDE</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Determines the side to which a particular component belongs.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">A component can belong to either the Top or Bottom side. If the component belongs to the Top (or Bottom) side, you need to choose the respective Top (or Bottom) value and assign an attribute.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If the component should not be shown in any of the views, assign the Hide attribute.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">PDW_COMPONENT_NAME</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Determines the type of the component.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">This attribute is useful if you want to show only particular component types in a view.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The default component types shown in the dialog are:</p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">DOWEL</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">EJECTOR</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">GUIDE_BUSHING</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">GUIDE_POST</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">LIFTER</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">MANIFOLD</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">DIEBASE</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">PLATE</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">SCREW</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">SPRING</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">STRIPPER_SPRING</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">STOP_PAD</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">GUIDE_BLOCK</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">CYLINDER</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">CUT_PUNCH</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">DIE_BUTTON</p>

            </ul>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">You have the option to change, remove, or add any of the component types. To do so, start the <b class="uiTerm">NX Customer Defaults</b> utility and select the <b class="uiTerm">Progressive Die Wizard Customer Defaults</b> option. There are two default names: PDW_Drawing_ComponentTypes1 and PDW_Drawing_ComponentTypes2. You can modify the values of these two default names. &nbsp;The changes will be reflected the next time you bring up the Assembly Drawing dialog box.          </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Note that a component can be of only one type. That is, a component can be either a lifter or an ejector but cannot be both. &nbsp;So, you can assign only one PDW_COMPONENT_NAME attribute. &nbsp;If you first assign the PDW_COMPONENT_NAME = LIFTER attribute to one component and then assign the PDW_COMPONENT_NAME = EJECTOR attribute to the same component, the former will be overwritten by the latter.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Assign Visibility Attributes</div>
      <p class="para_division">When you pick the Visibility tab the system displays two lists. &nbsp;</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The list at the bottom portion of the dialog shows the components having the same attribute value as what you picked in Attribute Name and Attribute Value. The list is empty if there is no component having the attribute.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The list at the top portion of the dialog shows the remaining components.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <p class="para_division">The default Attribute Name is MW_SIDE and the default Attribute Value is Top. So, the bottom list is labeled Top Components and shows the names of the components belonging to Top side (that is, they have the attribute MW_SIDE = Top). &nbsp;If none of the components has the attribute MW_SIDE = Top, then this list is empty.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The top list shows the remaining components (without the attribute MW_SIDE = Top).</p>
      <p class="para_division">The Filter field can be used to filter the display of the components. For example, entering the string &quot;side&quot; in the filter limits the components listed to those containing side in their names. &nbsp;Selection is also limited to these components.</p>

      <p class="para_division">You can select the components from the top list, or from the graphics screen. &nbsp;Alternatively, you can use the Assembly Navigator.</p>
      <p class="para_division">If you select the List Dependents check box, all the dependent components are selected.</p>
      <p class="para_division">After selecting the components, you can deselect a component from the graphics area.</p>
      <p class="para_division">When you choose Assign Attribute, the attribute (MW_SIDE = Top, for example) is assigned to the selected components. These components are removed from the top list and are added to the bottom list.</p>
      <p class="para_division">If you want to assign components to the Bottom side, set the Attribute Value pulldown to Bottom. The bottom list shows Bottom Components and the top list shows the remaining components. &nbsp;Select the components and choose Assign Attribute.</p>
      <p class="para_division">If you want to assign components to a particular type, set the Attribute Name pulldown to PDW_COMPONENT_TYPE. &nbsp;Set the Attribute Value pulldown to the desired type. Select the components and choose Assign Attribute.</p>
