      <p class="para_division">Use <b class="uiTerm">Insert</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Welding</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Fillet</b> to create arc weld fillets in 3D model space. 
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Fillet</b> function allows you to:
      </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Insert fillet welds between specified faces from two sets of bodies and define parameters for the fillet weld. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify the weld process as well as the shape and contour of the weld. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Define welds as a continuous bead or a skip bead. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Extend a face edge to have the weld fill gaps between solid bodies. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Annotate fillet welds on a drawing by using the <b class="uiTerm">Automatic Annotate</b> function. 
            </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">The welds total length and volume are automatically calculated and made readily available.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Accessing the Fillet Weld dialog box</div>
      <p class="para_division">To access the <b class="uiTerm">Fillet Weld</b> dialog box in the insert mode:
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">In the Modeling application</p>

            <p class="para_item">Select <b class="uiTerm">Insert</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Welding</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Fillet</b>.&nbsp;

            <p class="para_item">On the <b class="uiTerm">Weld Assistant</b> toolbar, click the <b class="uiTerm">Fillet</b> icon &nbsp;<img align="bottom" src="graphics/fillet_weld_lc.gif" border="0">.

      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Fillet Weld</b> dialog box consists of two tab pages: <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/arc_fillet.html#don_xml_arc_fillet_afill_crosec');return(false);">Cross Section</a> and <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/arc_fillet.html#don_xml_arc_fillet_afill_boundary');return(false);">Boundary</a>. 
      </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On the Cross Section page, you can specify the parameters required to create the weld, its attributes and characteristics, and also view the type of weld you are creating. The image in the dialog changes according to the input parameters.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On the Boundary page, you can specify the extent of the weld and the method of creation.</p>
         </li>

                     <p class="para_item">The second selection step is for the second set of faces.</p>

               <p class="para_td">The location of the first picked face is used to determine a solution if multiple solutions exist, for example, &nbsp;in the case of a cylinder on a plate,</p>

               <p class="para_th">Select Edges</p>
            </th>
            <td bgcolor="#f7f7f7" colspan="1" rowspan="1" valign="top">
               <p class="para_td">If you want to build the fillet weld from the intersection of the two sets of faces, no further selection is needed. If you need to extend faces to intersect with another set of faces, select those edges. The 3rd selection step is for the edges from the first set of faces that need to be extended. The 4th &nbsp;selection step is for the edges from the second set that need to be extended. &nbsp;By default the closest edge to the other set of faces will be preselected. Only choose the 3rd or 4th selection step if an extension is needed. Do not choose these steps if an extension is not needed. Choosing one of the Select Edges selection steps will cause the faces to be extended.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Allows you to set the contour for the fillet weld. Choose:</p>
               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">None</b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/icon_none.gif" border="0"> to create a fillet weld with unspecified weld finish.

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Convex</b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/icon_convex.gif" border="0"> to create a fillet weld with a convex contour weld finish.

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Flush</b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/icon_flush.gif" border="0"> to create a fillet weld with a flat contour weld finish.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Concave</b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/icon_concave.gif" border="0"> to create a fillet weld with a concave contour weld finish.
               </p>

               <p class="para_td">Gives you the flexibility to specify equal leg length value. Turn this option on to specify that the leg lengths of the fillet weld should be equal.</p>
               <p class="para_td">To keep the leg lengths of the fillet weld unequal, clear the check box and use the <b class="uiTerm">First Leg (L1)</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Second Leg (L2)</b> fields to specify the lengths.

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Number of Welds</b>: Allows you to specify the number of fillet welds. The default value for this field is 2. This option is turned on by default.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Segment Length</b>: Allows you to specify the <b class="uiTerm">Segment Length</b> for the <b class="uiTerm">Skip</b> method. This option is turned on by default. 
               </p>

            <p class="para_item">Select the first set of faces. (See Fillet Face Selection for tips on selection.)</p>

            <p class="para_item">Click this button <img align="bottom" src="graphics/weld_face_set2.gif" border="0"> and select the second set of faces. You can use this button <img align="bottom" src="graphics/weld_face_set1.gif" border="0"> to modify the faces selected for the first set. 
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify parameters on the <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/arc_fillet.html#don_xml_arc_fillet_afill_dlg');return(false);"><b class="uiTerm">Fillet Weld</b> dialog box</a>.

            <p class="para_item">On the <b class="uiTerm">Edit</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Feature</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Parameters</b> dialog box, or in the <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.popUpPage('modeling/index.html?goto=modeling/partnav_overview.html&vars=-aux,-home','linkInter','menubar=yes,status=yes,resizable=yes,toolbar=yes,scrollbars=yes,location=no,directories=no');return(false);"><b class="uiTerm">Part Navigator</b></a>, double click on the fillet weld to edit. The <b class="uiTerm">Fillet Weld</b> dialog box appears in the edit mode.

            <p class="para_item">After you make the modifications, choose <b class="uiTerm">OK</b>.
