               <p class="para_td">Choose the dollop creation method. <b class="uiTerm">Single</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Multiple</b> methods are available for both associative and nonassociative dollops.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Multiple</b>: Lets you place multiple dollops at a specified location according to the <b class="uiTerm">Spacing</b> value or <b class="uiTerm">Number of Dollops</b>. In the <b class="uiTerm">Multiple</b> method, associative dollops are attached to the reference curves that can be specified by choosing a <b class="uiTerm">Location</b> option.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Single</b>: Allows you to specify a location (for the dollop) within the overlap area (which is highlighted in the graphics window) using the Point Constructor dialog. When you choose the Single method, all options except <b class="uiTerm">Class</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Associative Output</b>, and <b class="uiTerm">Freeze Location</b> are unavailable. You can create as many dollops as desired at the specified locations. In the <b class="uiTerm">Single</b> method, associative dollop points are attached to the UV value of reference sheet. All dollop points created using the <b class="uiTerm">Single</b> method are grouped into a single feature.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td">The <b class="uiTerm">Multiple</b> option appears selected by default.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td">The method option used at the time of creation is retained and available for modification in the edit mode.</p>

For dollops, you can select a minimum of two and maximum of four face sets, with each face set comprising at least one face.

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Along Guide Curve</b>: Lets you select a guide curve on which to place the dollop points. The <b class="uiTerm">Previous</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Next</b> buttons are unavailable when this option is selected. This option allows you to select curves that are in the part file (either piece part or assembly). In case more than one guide curve needs to be selected, select all the curves. The guide curve you select is projected onto the reference sheet, thus creating reference curves.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Offset from Guide Edge</b>: Lets you select reference edge(s) from the reference sheet, and specify offset distance from this edge. The <b class="uiTerm">Previous</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Next</b> buttons are unavailable when this option is selected. In case you need to select two or more reference edges, select the start edge and end edge from the reference sheet.
               </p>

               <p class="para_td">When you select <b class="uiTerm">Place on Center Line</b>, the reference curves are obtained by projecting the center spline (that was created by using a set of input edges) on to the reference sheet. This option lets you select two sets of edges from the reference sheet that are highlighted in the graphics window. Each set contains a start and end edge for that set (Some sets may have only one edge). All the intermediate edges are automatically selected. The dollop is created in the reference sheet area, between the two sets of selected reference edges.
               </p>

When this option is turned ON, <b class="uiTerm">Number of Welds</b> is unavailable. This option is available for the <b class="uiTerm">Multiple</b> method only.

            <p class="para_item">In the Modeling application, click <b class="uiTerm">Insert</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Welding</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Dollop</b>, or click the <b class="uiTerm">Dollop</b> button <img align="bottom" src="graphics/icon_dollop.gif" border="0"> on the <b class="uiTerm">Weld Assistant</b> toolbar. The <b class="uiTerm">Dollop</b> dialog box appears, and you are cued to select faces for the first set.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On the <b class="uiTerm">Dollop</b> dialog box, choose the dollop <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/asm_dollop.html#asm_asm_dollop_asmd_dlg_type');return(false);"><b class="uiTerm">Type</b></a>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/asm_dollop.html#asm_asm_dollop_asmd_dlg_meth');return(false);"><b class="uiTerm">Method</b></a>.
            </p>
         </li>

            <p class="para_item">Define associativity. The <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/asm_dollop.html#asm_asm_dollop_asmd_dlg_asso');return(false);"><b class="uiTerm">Associative Output</b></a> toggle is turned ON by default. Turn the toggle OFF to create a nonassociative dollop.
            </p>
         </li>

            <p class="para_item">If required, freeze the dollop location by turning the <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/asm_dollop.html#asm_asm_dollop_asmd_dlg_fr');return(false);"><b class="uiTerm">Freeze Location</b></a> toggle ON. This toggle is turned OFF by default. Since the input faces will be not available once a nonassociative weld is frozen, turn the <b class="uiTerm">Freeze Weld Location</b> toggle ON as the last step after finalizing all the dollop locations.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click the face selection icon <img align="bottom" src="graphics/icon_fsel.gif" border="0"> and select faces for the first set. You must select a minimum of two sets of faces, each set comprising at least one face. Click the <b class="uiTerm">Next</b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/butt_down.gif" border="0">&nbsp;button or <b class="uiTerm">Select Face</b> button to select the next face set. You can select a maximum of four sets of faces. See <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/ref_fsel.html');return(false);">Face Selection</a> for tips on face selection.&nbsp;Use the <b class="uiTerm">Previous</b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/butt_up.gif" border="0"> and <b class="uiTerm">Next</b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/butt_down.gif" border="0"> Select Face buttons to traverse through faces sets.
            </p>
         </li>

            <p class="para_item">Choose the <b class="uiTerm">Reference Sheet</b> icon <img align="bottom" src="graphics/icon_refsht.gif" border="0">, to create a reference sheet by selecting the top face in the graphics window. You can place the dollop on the reference sheet using any of the <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/asm_dollop.html#asm_asm_dollop_asmd_dlg_loc');return(false);"><b class="uiTerm">Location</b></a> options. In case several overlap bodies are created, the <b class="uiTerm">Previous</b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/butt_prev.gif" border="0"> / <b class="uiTerm">Next</b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/butt_next.gif" border="0"> Reference Sheet buttons are made available for you to traverse through overlap bodies. In case of a single overlap body, these buttons appear insensitive.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If you have chosen the <b class="uiTerm">Single</b> method, choosing the <b class="uiTerm">Reference Sheet</b> icon creates a reference sheet and automatically opens the <b class="uiTerm">Point Constructor</b> dialog box, which you can use to define the location of the dollop. Specify the dollop location and skip to <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/asm_dollop.html#asm_asm_dollop_step_thirteen');return(false);">step 13</a>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select reference edges/curves if you are creating an associative dollop using the method. The label automatically updates to <b class="uiTerm">Select Curves</b> if you have selected the <b class="uiTerm">Along Guide Curve</b> location option. For the other two location options, the option label remains <b class="uiTerm">Select Edges</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/asm_dollop.html#asm_asm_dollop_asmd_dlg_loc');return(false);"><b class="uiTerm">Location</b></a>. (The <b class="uiTerm">Along Guide Curve</b> location option appears selected by default.) If you have selected the <b class="uiTerm">Single</b> method in step 1, the <b class="uiTerm">Location</b> options are unavailable.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In the graphics window, select curves or edges depending upon the <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/asm_dollop.html#asm_asm_dollop_asmd_dlg_loc');return(false);"><b class="uiTerm">Location</b></a> options chosen in the Dollop dialog.
            </p>
         </li>

            <p class="para_item">Specify the <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/asm_dollop.html#asm_asm_dollop_asmd_dlg_wno');return(false);"><b class="uiTerm">Number of Welds</b></a>, <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/asm_dollop.html#asm_asm_dollop_asmd_dlg_spa');return(false);"><b class="uiTerm">Spacing</b></a> (for Multiple creation method), <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/asm_dollop.html#asm_asm_dollop_asmd_dlg_strt');return(false);"><b class="uiTerm">Distance from Start</b></a> and <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/asm_dollop.html#asm_asm_dollop_asmd_dlg_end');return(false);"><b class="uiTerm">Distance from End</b></a>, as applicable. (These options are unavailable for the <b class="uiTerm">Single</b> method.)

            <p class="para_item">Click <img align="bottom" src="graphics/butt_ok.gif" border="0"> to create the weld and close the dialog box. Click <img align="bottom" src="graphics/butt_apply.gif" border="0"> to create the weld and keep the dialog box open.

      <p class="para_division">The dollop weld is created and displayed in the following font: <img align="bottom" src="graphics/font_arc_spot.gif" border="0">. Dollops created using the <b class="uiTerm">Single</b> creation method are displayed as points.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Editing</div>
      <p class="para_division">On the <b class="uiTerm">Edit</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Feature</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Edit Parameters</b> dialog box, or in the <b class="uiTerm">Part Navigator</b>, select the dollop to edit. The selected weld is highlighted in the graphics window. The <b class="uiTerm">Dollop</b> dialog box appears in the edit mode, i.e., the <b class="uiTerm">Additional Edit</b> tab appears sensitive.
