      <div class="title_division">Internal and External Parting</div>
      <p class="para_division">The design of parting features is done in two separate phases: internal and external parting. It's usually more convenient to complete internal parting before beginning external parting. The Mold Wizard parting process tools automate many of these steps.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Internal Parting (Surfaces within a closed boundary, such as a hole)</div>
      <p class="para_division">Product models with internal openings will need shut-off geometry to define the shut-off areas within the part. Both solid and surface-based methods contained in the Mold Wizard Tools functions are used to shut off open areas. NX freeform modeling surfaces may be included as parting surfaces.</p>
      <div class="title_division">External Parting (Surfaces originating from the exterior parting lines, extending beyond the work piece)</div>
      <p class="para_division">The process steps for external parting are:</p>

            <p class="para_item">Sew parting surfaces into a parting surface set.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <div class="title_division">Parting Lines</div>
      <p class="para_division">Before using the Parting Lines function, the product model should be analyzed and prepared by the Molded Part Validation (MPV) or in the older version, the Product Design Advisor (PDA). With the MPV, you can find crossover faces, create isoclines, and split the faces to create a complete loop of edges. The cavity and core regions should also be defined with the MPV before using the Parting Lines function. </p>
      <p class="para_division">The Parting Lines function examines the part and determines the parting line by considering the cavity and core regions as defined by the MPV or the draft, shape, and direction of each face. It can quickly and accurately define a parting line on a well prepared model. </p>
      <div class="title_division">Define Guide Lines/Transitions</div>
      <p class="para_division">Parting line sets are divided into segments that are used to form the parting surfaces. The parting line segment divisions are defined by guide lines at the ends of segments, transition points and objects (curves or groups of curves within the parting line loop).</p>
      <div class="title_division">Parting Surfaces</div>
      <p class="para_division">Parting surfaces are created from the parting line segments with extruded, swept, bounded plane, enlarged, Trim and Extend, Ribbon surface types.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Extract Regions</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Extract Regions function collects and divides the part surfaces into cavity and core sets, then joins them with the parting surfaces to create cavity and core trim sheets.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Cavity &amp; Core</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Cavity/Core function links the trim sheets to the cavity and core components and trims the cavity and core blocks.</p>
