      <p class="para_topic">The standard part register tool is used to register a part of an assembly into the Mold Wizard standard database for future use from the Standard Parts Management system. The tool acts as a wizard and can be used instead of manually registering parts.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">There are three ways to register a standard part with the standard parts register tool:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Register a new standard part and catalog. A new standard part directory is created. This includes data, model, and bitmap directories, and moldwizard_reg.txt and register files.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Register a new classification in an existing catalog.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Register a new standard part in an existing classification.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">You run the standard parts register tool by clicking on the Register Standard Parts button.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Registering a Part With the Standard Parts Register Tool</div>
      <p class="para_division">The component you want to register must be set as the displayed part before you begin the registration process.</p>

            <p class="para_item">From the Standard Part Management dialog box, click on the Register Standard Part button. The Standard Parts Register dialog is displayed.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The standard parts register tool functions are divided between three steps:</p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Catalog</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Expression</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Properties</p>
               </li>
            </ul>
            <p class="para_item">Proceed through the steps to perform registration. Mold Wizard steps you through the catalog and expression steps. The optional properties step is activated when the Micorsoft Excel spreadsheet is launched automatically after completion of the expression step.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>

      <p class="para_division">The following table contains the toggles, options, and buttons for the Catalog tab.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Displays the path to the database (spreadsheet) file that contains the parameter and attribute controls for the new standard part. When an existing catalog has been selected in the Catalog Name field, the path in the Data File field is filled-in automatically. You must enter the name of the data file.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Click the False Body button to display a selection dialog which allows you to select the bodies that will belong to the FALSE reference set. The FALSE reference set should contain the cutting bodies.</p>

               <p class="para_td">This window displays the parameters that are placed in the standard parts database spreadsheet. Only parameters that are controlled by the standard part dialog should be in the list.</p>

               <p class="para_td">The left and right arrows move expressions between the Part Expression List window and the Parameter List window.</p>
               <p class="para_td">The up and down arrows reorder the position of the parameters as they will be listed in the standard part data file.</p>
               <p class="para_td">The two left arrows move all expressions from the Parameter List window to the Part Expression List window.</p>

      <p class="para_division">The properties are contained in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. The following table contains the toggles, options, and buttons for the properties. The option default values are defined in the file .../moldwizard/templates/mw_attribute.xls.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Use this option to automatically assign part attributes to any component in the mold. To set a part attribute in the standard part that is controlled by this database spreadsheet, use the following format:</p>
               <p class="para_td">Attribute Name = Attribute Value</p>
               <p class="para_td">The Attribute Name pull-down menu lists all of the default attribute names. The Attribute Value pull-down menu lists values for the corresponding attributes.</p>
               <p class="para_td">The default attributes and their matching values are predefined in the mw_attribute.xls file in the ...\moldwizard\templates directory.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Expression names must correspond to parameters in the standard part.</p>

               <p class="para_td">INTER_PART</p>

               <p class="para_td">Standard parts can be assemblies. In some cases, the subcomponents of these assemblies are standard parts that are controlled by their own separate database file. The INTER_PART section updates the components with their own separate database file.</p>
               <p class="para_td">The format of an INTER_PART command is:</p>
               <p class="para_td">part attribute name : sheet name; condition1, condition2.</p>
               <p class="para_td">For example,</p>
