      <title>Install a Standard Part</title>

      <div class="title_division">Prepararation</div>
      <p class="para_division">Before installing a standard part, ensure that the system has been properly set up as follows:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In <b class="uiTerm">Mold Wizard Customer Defaults</b>, set the interpart modeling option to: Assemblies_AllowInterPart: yes.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Ensure that the Delay Interpart Updates default in the NX Assemblies module section in <b class="uiTerm">Mold Wizard Customer Defaults</b> is not turned on.&nbsp;
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Set the Application to Gateway or Modeling.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Set the Display Mode to Partially Shaded.&nbsp;</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">When you place an ejector-pin in a multi-cavity mold, pick the placement point in the active (highlighted) cavity.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">You can change the default settings for standard parts in <b class="uiTerm">Mold Wizard Customer Defaults</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Standard Part Selection</div>
      <p class="para_division">The process for selecting standard parts is as follows:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Open the Standard Part Management dialog by picking the Standard Parts button from the Mold Wizard toolbar.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">From the Catalog tab, select the manufacturer.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">From the Classification pull-down menu, select the type of component.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">From the Parts List scroll window select the desired part.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">From the Parent pull-down menu, select the desired assembly parent.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">From the Position pull-down menu, select the desired positioning method.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">From the Standard Part Name text field, accept or change the part name as desired.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">From the Reference Set toggle, set the desired reference set to be displayed.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If Option menus are displayed in the bottom section of the dialog box, set them to achieve the desired configuration.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <div class="title_division">Position (Placement Method)</div>
      <p class="para_division">Seven types of position methods are available to position a standard part into the mold.</p>

               <p class="para_td">This method prompts you to select a planar face from any component on the mold assembly. The X-Y plane of the absolute WCS of the standard part is placed coplanar to the selected face. You are then prompted to select an origin point anywhere on the plane of the selected face.</p>
               <p class="para_td">The plane method uses a smart point to attach the component to the selected face. If you prefer not to have this associative attachment, you can disable it in <b class="uiTerm">Mold Wizard Customer Defaults</b>. The variable is MW_StandardAssociationPosition.
               </p>

               <p class="para_td">This allows you to use the conventional NX Assemblies Mating Conditions dialog box. </p>

      </table><br><div class="title_division">PARENT (Default Assembly Parent)</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Parent pull-down menu in the Standard Parts Management System allows you to choose the parent of the standard part. The standard part will be placed as a component of the parent. When the Standard Part Management dialog is opened, the work part will be set to the default parent as defined in the database file for each standard part. You can select additional parent options from the Parent pull-down menu. You can also place additional default parent options in <b class="uiTerm">Mold Wizard Customer Defaults</b>.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">To install a component as a child of a component that is not listed in the Parent list:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Set the desired parent as the work part.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Open the Standard Parts Management dialog box. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the desired catalog and part from the pull-down menus. (The default parent is automatically set.)</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">From the Parent pull-down menu, select the desired parent (in this case the previous work part).</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <div class="title_division">Standard Part Instance as New Component</div>
      <p class="para_division">The New Component check box on the Standard Part Management dialog allows you to add multiple components of the same type as new components instead of adding them as instances of a component one at a time.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Side Attribute</div>
      <p class="para_division">Some standard parts have an option for the side attribute. The side attribute, MW_SIDE, can have a value of A or B. This attribute is used by the Assembly Drawing function to control component visibility in the drawing views.</p>
