      <p class="para_topic">Efficient positioning of standard components on die bases increases the efficiency of tool design. In <b class="uiTerm">Standard Part Management</b> you can position standard components using a library of commonly used patterns . <b class="uiTerm">Progressive Die Wizard </b>provides these standard layouts as part of the standard parts libraries. You can also add custom point patterns to the catalog.

            <p class="para_item">On the <b class="uiTerm">Progressive Die Wizard</b> toolbar, click <b class="uiTerm">Standard Parts Management</b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ico_t_standard_part.gif" border="0">.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On the <b class="uiTerm">Standard Parts Management</b> dialog in the <b class="uiTerm">Catalog</b> menu, choose the <b class="uiTerm">Group Set</b> catalog.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In the window below the <b class="uiTerm">Catalog</b> list, choose <b class="uiTerm">Point Pattern</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On the <b class="uiTerm">PATTERN </b>menu, choose a pattern from the catalog, for example, <b class="uiTerm">4A</b>, and click <b class="uiTerm">Apply</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> On the <b class="uiTerm">Catalog</b> menu, choose the standard part for the array.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On the <b class="uiTerm"> Position </b>menu, choose<b class="uiTerm"> Point Pattern</b> and click <b class="uiTerm">Apply</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select a location (for example the origin) on the target part (for example, a die plate).</p>
            <p class="para_item">The parts will appear on the part in the array you specified.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Using the features on the dialog box, do any of the following:</p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Change the pattern type, for example from <b class="uiTerm">4A </b>to <b class="uiTerm">6A</b>.  
                  </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item"> Change the pattern dimensions.</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Change the pattern configuration.</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Change the number of components in the pattern.</p>
               </li>
            </ul>
         </li>
      </ol>
