      <div class="title_division">About the Part Navigator (Sort by Column)</div>
      <p class="para_division">The <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.popUpPage('modeling/index.html?goto=modeling/partnav_overview.html&vars=-aux,-home','linkInter','menubar=yes,status=yes,resizable=yes,toolbar=yes,scrollbars=yes,location=no,directories=no');return(false);"><b class="uiTerm">Part Navigator</b></a> allows you to display lists of objects in user-defined columns. The <b class="uiTerm">Sort by Column</b> function allows you to sort a list of objects alphabetically in ascending or descending order. Because <b class="uiTerm">Part Navigator</b> allows you to display, sort, and manipulate weld points, it is easier to perform hiding/showing, manipulate groups of welds, and change the object display.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">Before you can sort by a specific column, you must set the following environment variable on your desktop: <code>UGII_PARTNAV_SORTABLE_ATTRIBUTE_COLUMNS = 1</code>.

                  <p class="para_note_body">The UGII_PARTNAV_SORTABLE_ATTRIBUTE_COLUMNS environment variable is only required for NX 4.0 and NX 4.x releases. It is not needed for NX 5 and later releases.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Using the Part Navigator</div>
      <p class="para_division">To add a column that displays a specific attribute value:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Right click in the <b class="uiTerm">Part Navigator</b> menu bar.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select <b class="uiTerm">Columns</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Configure</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm">Attribute</b> box, enter the exact name of the attribute and click <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> .
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">To sort by a specific column, on the <b class="uiTerm">Part Navigator</b>, select the column name.
            </p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <p class="para_division"> If you select the column name again, the order is reversed. Column items are sorted alphabetically.</p>
