      </table><br><p class="para_topic">You can import bodies from a CATIA V4 model file into the current work part by using the <b class="uiTerm">V4 CATIA Solids</b> command on the <b class="uiTerm">Import</b> menu.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">When importing a CATIA V4 file, you will see the same progress meter, status messages, and summary dialog box as you do when you open a CATIA V4 file.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can also import CATIA V4 models that are contained in a CATIA V4 export (*.exp) file. To select a CATIA V4 export file, simply change the filter to <b class="uiTerm">CATIA V4 Export Files</b>. If the CATIA V4 export file you select has more than one CATIA V4 model file inside, you will see a dialog box with a list of the names of the CATIA V4 models. You can then select one model to import into the current work part.

      <div class="title_division">Import part</div>
      <p class="para_division">You can import bodies from a CATIA V4 model file into the current work part by using the <b class="uiTerm">Part</b> command on the <b class="uiTerm">Import</b> menu and changing the filter to <b class="uiTerm">CATIA V4 Model Files</b>. You can select the layer, grouping, scale and position of the CATIA V4 bodies just as you can when importing from a NX part.

                  <p class="para_note_body">The <b class="uiTerm">Create</b> named group, <b class="uiTerm">Import Views</b>, and <b class="uiTerm">Import CAM Object</b> check boxes have no affect on the imported CATIA V4 bodies. This is also true for the parts list item.

      <div class="title_division">Add existing component to an assembly</div>
      <p class="para_division">You can add a new NX component to an assembly by using the <b class="uiTerm">Add Existing</b> command on the <b class="uiTerm">Components</b> menu. Select the <b class="uiTerm">Choose Part File</b> command and change the filter to <b class="uiTerm">CATIA V4 Model Files</b>. This will create a new, unsaved NX file with the solid and sheet bodies from the CATIA V4 model file. This new part file will be a component of the current assembly. You must save this part to create a NX file on your disk.
