      </table><br><p class="para_topic">You can import bodies from a CATIA V4 model file into a new NX part by using the Open command on the <b class="uiTerm">File</b> menu and changing the filter to <b class="uiTerm">CATIA V4 Model Files</b>. This will create a new, unsaved NX file with the solid and sheet bodies from the CATIA V4 model file.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The translator will rename the CATIA V4 model file to a NX part file by changing the .model file extension to _model.prt. For example, the above figure shows a file named CATIA_V4 model. Selecting this file will create a NX part file named CATIA_V4_model.prt.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">If the CATIA V4 file you are translating already exists as a NX part file, you will see a <b class="uiTerm">File Already Exists</b> dialog box.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">Select <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> to delete the NX part file on disk and to convert the selected CATIA V4 file. Select <b class="uiTerm">Back</b> to go back to the <b class="uiTerm">File Selection</b> dialog box to select a different CATIA V4 file. Select <b class="uiTerm">Cancel</b> to cancel the translation.

                  <p class="para_note_body">You need to be aware that when you click on <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> to replace an existing file, the translator deletes the file on disk.&nbsp;If there are any problems with the translation, the translator does not write the new file to the disk, so you end up with no file on the disk. In addition, once the translator has converted the CATIA V4 file into a NX file, it only exists in the session. You must save the file to create a NX part on your disk.

      <p class="para_topic">Once you have selected a CATIA V4 model file, the progress of the translation will appear in the progress meter and the status line.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">You will only see the progress meter during the step that actually converts the solid and sheet bodies into NX bodies.&nbsp;The status bar will give you information about what step the translator is currently performing.&nbsp;The status bar will display steps, such as scanning, reading, converting, sewing, healing, checking, or simplifying.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Once the translation is complete, a <b class="uiTerm">CATIA V4 Conversion Summary</b> dialog box will appear. This dialog box will include any warnings or errors that occurred during the translation.
