      </table><br><p class="para_topic">The simplest form of the command line is to specify a single CATIA V5 assembly. For example:</p><pre class="indent">&quot;C:\Program Files\NX\catiav5\catiav5.exe&quot; C:\catiav5\assem.CATProduct</pre><p class="para_topic">This command creates an NX assembly and a log file names <em>catiav5.log</em> in the current directory since no output directory was specified.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The translator will always look for component CATIA V5 files first in the directory that contains the assembly (for example, C:\catiav5). If all of the components are in the same directory as the assembly, then the command line shown above will work as is.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">If you have CATIA V5 components in other directories, you need to edit the catiav5.def file to supply a comma (or semicolon) separated list of assembly search directories. &nbsp;The translator first looks in the directory supplied on the command line for the top-level assembly file and then it looks through the list of assembly search directories that you specify in the catiav5.def file.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The translator automatically looks through all subdirectories under every assembly search directory that you supply; including the directory which contains the top-level assembly file.</p>
