      </table><br><p class="para_topic"><b class="uiTerm">Normal Display</b> allows you to temporarily display the normals of each surface that the system used to determine the normals of each processed triangle. This option switches between off and on, with off the default. When turned on, <b class="uiTerm">Normal Display</b> gives you the ability to visually check the normals of each surface for correct direction or any potential problems. The system displays the normals in the current system display color.

      <div class="title_division">Triangle display</div>
      <p class="para_division"><b class="uiTerm">Triangle Display</b> allows you to temporarily display the triangles created for the output file upon completion of entity processing. <b class="uiTerm">Triangle Display</b> switches between off and on, with off the default. When turned on, <b class="uiTerm">Triangle Display</b> gives you the ability to visually check the triangulation of the entities for smoothness and any potential problems. The system displays the triangles in the current system display color.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Accepting parameter settings</div>
      <p class="para_division">Once you have set each option on the main menu as desired, click <b class="uiTerm">OK</b>. The system then prompts you for a file name for the output file.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Entering output file name</div>
      <p class="para_division">The system allows you to enter the name of the operating system file that will contain the rapid prototyping output. This file is the input to the rapid prototyping apparatus.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The system automatically appends the default extension .stl to the file name if the file is binary. It appends the default extension .txt to the file name if the file is a text file.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The system checks to determine if the entered file name currently exists. If it does, the system prompts you to either:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Use Other Name</b></p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Replace It</b></p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Append to It</b></p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">You can use the <b class="uiTerm">Append To It</b> option to put two related parts into one rapid prototyping file.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Entering file header information</div>
      <p class="para_division">The system allows you to enter header information into the output file if the file is binary.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Selecting entities for processing</div>
      <p class="para_division">The system displays the <b class="uiTerm">Class Selection</b> dialog box with the mask set to only allow selection of surfaces and solids.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">If you have turned the <b class="uiTerm">Auto Normal Generation</b> option on and have selected a surface for processing, the system displays the menus for selecting a base surface and correctly orienting its surface normal as previously discussed. Once you've oriented the surface normal as desired, the system begins to process the entities.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Processing messages</div>
      <p class="para_division">The system displays a series of messages to give you feedback on what's currently being processed.</p>
      <p class="para_division">When processing surfaces, these messages include:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Computing adjacencies</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Calculating normal direction (when appropriate)</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Triangulating surfaces</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Merging triangles</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Creating output file</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">When processing solids, these messages include:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Triangulating solid</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Creating output file</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">Each message will replace the previous message until the output file is created.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Abort process using the Ctrl and Shift L keys</div>
      <p class="para_division">If for any reason you want to stop the output processing, press &lt;Ctrl&ndash;Shift L&gt;. The operating system file containing the rapid prototyping output will be closed and the system prompts you to save the output file. Select <b class="uiTerm">Yes</b> to save the output file, though note that the file will contain only a portion of information needed to produce the part. Select <b class="uiTerm">No</b> to delete the output file.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">How to use the Rapid Prototyping (STL) interface</div>
      <p class="para_division">To use the Rapid Prototyping (STL) interface:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose <b class="uiTerm">File&rarr;Export&rarr;STL</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Set the desired parameters for the processing.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter a filename for the output file.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">For binary files, enter any desired file header information.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the surfaces and solids for processing using the <b class="uiTerm">Class Selection</b> dialog box.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If <b class="uiTerm">Auto Normal Generation</b> is on, and you have selected surfaces for processing, select a base surface.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Accept or reverse the displayed normal.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">The system then processes the selected surfaces and solids, and sends the results to the specified output file.</p>
