      </table><br><p class="para_topic">You can access the 2D Exchange converter in NX by selecting the <b class="uiTerm">2D Exchange</b> command from the <b class="uiTerm">Export</b> menu.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The <b class="uiTerm">2D Exchange</b> command initiates the dialog box to control the projection and translation of the specified part.

      <div class="title_division">Dialog box description</div>
      <p class="para_division">This dialog box allows you to:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify the NX part file or display objects that you wish to translate and export.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify whether to project into a drawing or into a modeling view.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify a drawing or a view into which to project the objects.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify whether results are output to Modeling (in the Top view) or to Drafting (in a drawing and member views).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify whether the output format should be NX part, IGES file, or DXF/DWG file.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify the output file name for the translated part file you are exporting.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify a new defaults file.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify a log file to record the history of the translation and export operations.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">&nbsp; There is also an option to review previously generated log files.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">The installation process will normally set up the environment variable UGTO2D_DIR. If for some reason this environment variable has not been set up, trying to view previously generated log files will results in an error message, and you will be unable to proceed with the export operation.</p>
