      </table><br><p class="para_topic">STEP AP203 and AP214 are extremely similar in their specification.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The STEP user interfaces will look for the settings file step203ug.def or step214ug.def (as appropriate) in the local directory. If the system finds a local file, use its contents as the initial settings of the user interface. If you do not find the local file, then the <code>UGII_BASE_DIR\step203\step203ug.def</code> or <code>UGII_BASE_DIR\step214\step214ug.def</code> file will be used. These settings files distribute with the user interface options set to the most appropriate values.
