      <p class="para_topic">The first part of the configuration file, the setup section, contains a series of standard translator options. Use the setup options in the configuration file to define how NX part files are translated. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The setup configuration options are:</p>

               <p class="para_td">Specifies whether or not the chordal value should be applied as an absolute value in model units (ABSOLUTE), or as a percentage of part size (RELATIVE).</p>
               <p class="para_td">For example, if you specify RELATIVE, a bolt is tessellated to the same degree as a larger part, and both have the same surface quality. This is the optimum setting.</p>
               <p class="para_td">If you specify ABSOLUTE, and have a chordal value of 1, that value is used to tessellate a part that is one unit across, and for a part that is 100 units across. This process results in larger parts being more tessellated than smaller parts.</p>

               <p class="para_td">RELATIVE: The translator tessellates all parts relative to size (equally) and with the same surface quality. </p>
               <p class="para_td">ABSOLUTE: The translator interprets the tessellation value as a strict number of units, which is applied to all parts. </p>
               <p class="para_td">The default value is RELATIVE.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Defines the organization of the translated model on disk. This option specifies the mapping of JT product structure to JT file structure.</p>

               <p class="para_td">=PER_PART. An assembly jt file and directory of part jt files.</p>
               <p class="para_td">=MONOLITHIC. A single jt file.</p>
               <p class="para_td">=FULL_SHATTER. A jt file for each node in the assembly.</p>
               <p class="para_td">=MIMIC. One output file per original file with corresponding contents.</p>
               <p class="para_td">Bound to PER_PART. The ugtopv translator generally ignores this option unless it's instructed to produce an assembly jt file with the generate_assy_jt command line option (then the MIMIC option is also honored).</p>

               <p class="para_td">Set the environment variable UGII_PV_TRANS_MODEL_ANN=1 to translate annotations. </p>
               <p class="para_td">Set the environment variable JTK_USE_MASTER_NOTATION_PMI_FORMAT=1 to translate new PMI types. Teamcenter Visualization is required to view these new PMI types.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Specifies whether to enable or disable compression during translation. When enabled, the file size is reduced by up to three times its original size, but the data-writing process takes longer.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Specifies the level of compression. The compression level can be set from 0 (minimum compression) to 1 (maximum compression). As the value increases, the compression increases and the amount of data kept decreases.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Any value from 0 to 1. For example, you can set the compression level to .1, .25, .7, etc.</p>
               <p class="para_td">0: Lossless compression maintains precision for the translated geometry information but produces a larger file size. </p>
               <p class="para_td">1: Maximum compression that results in loss of precision to achieve a smaller file size.</p>

               <p class="para_td">true: The tristrip optimizer reduces the number of triangles in the tristrips, without reducing the quality of the geometry displayed. However, the translation time increases.</p>
