      <p class="para_topic"><b class="uiTerm">Export Selected Objects</b>: This is applicable for IGES export, STEP export, DXF/DWG export, and 2D Exchange export.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can export the selected objects from the displayed part and export to the format of your choice. This can be achieved using the provided shortcut (right-click) menu commands, which contains the following selections:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Entire Part</b>: By default, the translator will be set to <b class="uiTerm">Entire Part</b>. If you want to export selected objects then choose <b class="uiTerm">Selected Objects</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Selected Objects</b>: If you select this command then you need to select objects that you want to translate.
            </p>
            <p class="para_item">You can enable the <b class="uiTerm">Class Selection</b> dialog box by clicking on <img align="bottom" src="graphics/class_select.gif" border="0">. Choosing the <b class="uiTerm">Class Selection</b> dialog box will let you highlight objects from the graphics window for translation. You can select from fully loaded parts in the display. You can enter the <b class="uiTerm">Class Selection</b> dialog box, select objects, exit the dialog box by choosing <b class="uiTerm">OK</b>, and then return again to select (or deselect) more objects. (to deselect an object from the display, use &lt;Shift/Right-click&gt;.)
            </p>

      <div class="title_division">Object types</div>
      <p class="para_division">Applicable for IGES import/export, DXF/DWG export, and STEP import/export. The following object types are available on the dialog box:</p>

      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Object Types</b> menu allows you to select the entity types to process at translation. The dialog box contains the full list of your choices. The items will show as selected, though they may change based on the information in the settings file.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">Using the <b class="uiTerm">Object Types</b> menu to filter out unnecessary geometry is a great method to speed translation (reduces what translates). If solid geometry is all that you are interested in translating, select only <b class="uiTerm">Solids</b> and any other data will be skipped during the translation.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">The object types available will also change based on which translator is called.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Points to remember</div>
      <p class="para_division">Please be aware of the following when exporting drawings:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">A section view parent view that exists on a drawing without its associated child view will lose its section line when the drawing exports. To avoid this condition, section views and their parent views that exist on different drawing sheets in the original part file should have their drawings exported simultaneously.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If a section view detail view exists on a drawing without its parent view, it will not copy during drawing export. To avoid this condition, section view details and their parent views that exist on different drawing sheets in the original part should have their drawings exported simultaneously.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <div class="title_division">Layers</div>
      <p class="para_division">Layer selection is a very effective tool to allow you to eliminate unnecessary geometry from translation. Disabling layers which contain construction geometry or geometry which is for reference will reduce the amount of data translated and decrease confusion on the receiving end of the translation.</p>

      </table><br><p class="para_division"><b class="uiTerm">Enable/Disable Layers</b> allows you to specify which layers to turn off or on from processing. You can specify layers in ranges, separated by commas, by individual layers separated by commas, or by ranges specified with a hyphen before or after a number.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">You can select by typing in the layers, which you wish to translate. The default is layers 1&ndash;256, selected for translation on export and 1&ndash;999999, selected for translation on import. You can select layers by entering a layer string with a maximum of 50 characters. Only the layers selected will be processed. The following table will illustrate how the menu will interpret your input.</p>
