                  <p class="para_note_body">The information messages provide a description of the steps as they occur in the translation process, which can aid in troubleshooting. </p>

      <p class="para_topic">A single log file is created for all translations performed in a NX or NX Manager session. Exit messages (like End of Translation session, Total No of Reported Messages to Log File) are not captured in the translator log file.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">For list/directory input, if the LogFileName option contains the UG_PART parameter, then </p>
      <p class="para_topic">(n+1) log files are created, where &lsquo;n&rsquo; log files are created for the corresponding &lsquo;n&rsquo; parts in the list/directory and each of these &lsquo;n&rsquo; log files consists messages for the respective part translation. The input and exit errors are present in a separate log file that takes the list/dir name to form the log file name corresponding to the UG_PART parameter.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">If the LogFileName option does not contain the UG_PART parameter, then a single log file is created.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Log file location</div>
      <p class="para_division">You can designate the location of the log file for error reporting in the LogFileName option in the configuration file. You can specify the location anywhere in the parameter string that defines the log file name. For example, if you set the option as:</p>

            <p class="para_item">The log file location is: C\mystuff\temp\ </p>

            <p class="para_item">LogFileName = &ldquo;UG_PART,C:\mystuff\,USER,PID&rdquo; </p>
            <p class="para_item">The log file location is: C:\mystuff\</p>
            <p class="para_item">The log file name is: bracket_bjohnson_3651_log</p>

      <p class="para_division">If you don&rsquo;t specify a location, the log file is created in the location where the NX syslog file is created (defined by the environment variable UGII_TMP_DIR). If that location is not defined, it&rsquo;s placed in the current working directory. For example:</p>

      <p class="para_division">When batch translation is used, a message is sent to the command prompt window indicating the location and name of the log file when error messages start to be reported.</p>
