      </table><br><p class="para_topic">This specifies what type of relief to put on each end of the inset flange. The available types are <b class="uiTerm">None</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Rectangular</b>, and <b class="uiTerm">Obround</b>. Examples of each relief type are shown in the figure below. The default is <b class="uiTerm">None</b>. You can change the bend relief type and parameter value in <b class="uiTerm">Options&rarr;Bend Reliefs</b>.

      <p class="para_topic">The relief is aligned with the root of the flange (the inside bend tangent). Examples of how reliefs appear for flanges with and without taper angles are shown in the following figure.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">The width of the relief is measured perpendicular to the flange side face (see the figure above).</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">If an inset flange with a relief is located such that one edge adjoins the base of another flange, the relief cannot be represented in the second flange when it is in any orientation other than flat. This is because the material being removed for the relief is a cutout, in the shape of the relief, as deep as the material thickness. When the adjoining flange is formed, the bent area will form away from this cutout shape, and only some of the material would be removed in the bend area. This would generally leave behind a non&ndash;manifold solid which the modeler would reject. In such a configuration, only the <b class="uiTerm">No Relief</b> option on this edge will yield a representable form of the model.

      <div class="title_division">Automatic positioning</div>
      <p class="para_division"><b class="uiTerm">Automatic Positioning</b> for the inset flange follows the same general rules as for the <b class="uiTerm">Flange</b> feature. The flange is positioned at a zero distance from the left edge and a zero distance from the top edge (viewing the attachment face with the flange bend direction vector aligned down).

      <div class="title_division">Manual Positioning</div>
      <p class="para_division">Positioning the horizontal and vertical components of the inset flange relative to the attachment face is <b class="uiTerm">Manual Positioning</b>. The base of the flange is always on a plane parallel to the attachment face at a distance into the body determined using the inset value.
