      <p class="para_topic">Use the <b class="uiTerm">Corner</b> feature to create corners between two flanges. The <b class="uiTerm">Butt Joint</b> corner will automate and enhance the creation of flange butt joints. You can control the <b class="uiTerm">Overlap</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Gap</b> for the butt joints. You can create <b class="uiTerm">Butt Joint</b> corners for a wide range of different flange parameters and states.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can access the <b class="uiTerm">Corner</b> dialog box from <b class="uiTerm">Modeling&rarr;Insert&rarr;Sheet Metal Feature&rarr;Corner</b> or from the <b class="uiTerm">Sheet Metal Feature</b>. To edit a corner, use <b class="uiTerm">Modeling&rarr;Edit&rarr;Feature</b> or the <b class="uiTerm">Edit Feature</b>.

               <p class="para_td">The parent side is the side on which you selected an edge or a face for creating the corner. A <em>1</em> is displayed on the top cylindrical bend face of this side.

It closes the area between the bend side faces on either side. The <b class="uiTerm">Machinery Corner</b> can be used to represent a corner created when the bend areas of two adjacent flanges intersect.

               <p class="para_td">The distance of the parent flange over the associate flange along the direction of the parent flange side face normal. <b class="uiTerm">Overlap</b> can be a negative value. Negative overlap value cannot exceed the computed length of the parent butt joint.

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Gap</b> for Butt corner is defined as the minimum distance between parent and associate butt joints. The minimum gap value is equal to one modeling tolerance. The gap for <b class="uiTerm">Simple Miter</b> corner is defined as the minimum distance between the parent and associate miter faces. This gap can have a minimum value of zero.
               </p>
            </td>
         </tr>
      </table><br><div class="title_division">Procedure</div>
      <p class="para_division">To create a <b class="uiTerm">Corner</b> feature perform the following steps:
      </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the type of corner you want to create.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select an edge or face of a bend or web side face closest to the common edge where you want to create a corner feature.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter the overlap and gap values for <b class="uiTerm">Butt</b> corner or the gap or relief radius for <b class="uiTerm">Simple Miter</b> corner.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Turn the <b class="uiTerm">Multiple Steps</b> option on if you want to create a <b class="uiTerm">Miter Corner</b> on multiple side faces at the same time.
            </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">You can create <b class="uiTerm">Butt Joint/Machinery/Simple Miter/Full Miter</b> corners between any two side faces having different parameters and states in the following conditions.
      </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Bend angles cannot be less than or equal to 0.5&deg; and more than or equal to 180&deg;.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The side faces cannot intersect each other.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The side faces on which you want to create a corner cannot have any features (such as holes) attached to them.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If any side face on which you want to create a corner is a flange side face then it cannot have any flange butt joints or miters. Bend tapers are not allowed for <b class="uiTerm">Machinery Corners</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The sides on which you want to create a corner should have a common edge between their bend side faces. It is not required to have common edge while editing the corner.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Corner cannot be created if any parent self&ndash;forming feature is in an intermediate state.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
