      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Defining a general flange using a <b class="uiTerm">Punch Vector</b> is similar to using <b class="uiTerm">Parameters</b> method however, the first bend angle is determined from a user&ndash;specified vector (See the figure below). Select <b class="uiTerm">Punch Vector</b> to launch the <b class="uiTerm">Select Datum Axis</b> dialog box. The other boxes are identical to the <b class="uiTerm">Parameters</b> method. The system displays the punch vector to indicate the bend direction (similar to the bend direction vector in <b class="uiTerm">Parameters</b> method). You must select a punch vector &ndash; there is no default. The punch vector will be associative to the selected reference geometry (if any).
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The spine will project to a plane that is normal to the punch vector prior to construction. This is necessary to generate the proper section curves.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Since the first bend angle is a function of the punch vector, the <b class="uiTerm">Angle</b> box (for the first step only) is the angle with respect to the punch vector. The angle can be between &ndash;360 and +360. The default angle of zero makes the web parallel to the punch vector. Angles for other steps are relative to the previous step, as when using the Parameters method.
