      <p class="para_topic">This feature lets you create a slot on any type of face. The <b class="uiTerm">Slot</b> feature is unique from the Modeling <b class="uiTerm">Slot</b> feature in that it can be placed on any type of face, and it will form and unform itself to the underlying surface.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can access the <b class="uiTerm">Slot</b> dialog box from <b class="uiTerm">Modeling&rarr;Insert&rarr;Sheet Metal Feature&rarr;Slot</b> or from the <b class="uiTerm">Sheet Metal Feature</b> . To edit a slot, use <b class="uiTerm">Modeling&rarr;Edit&rarr;Feature</b> or the <b class="uiTerm">Edit Feature</b>.

            </td>

               <p class="para_td">Two edges, and offsets from those edges, are used to determine the location of the center of the slot. The Slot is located at the place where the offset edges from the offset edges intersect.</p>

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">RPO</b></p>
            </td>
            <td bgcolor="#f7f7f7" colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Relative Positioning and Orientation (RPO)</b>, which is used to determine the location and orientation of the slot. The slot is located at the place specified by the horizontal and vertical RPO dimensions you supply.
               </p>

      </table><br><div class="title_division">Procedure</div>
      <p class="para_division">The steps for creating a sheet metal slot are:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify <b class="uiTerm">Punch</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Through</b>, or <b class="uiTerm">Depth</b> type.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify the placement face.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify the through face (for a <b class="uiTerm">Through Slot</b>).
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify the length, width, and depth (for <b class="uiTerm">Depth Slots</b> only).
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify the direction vector for the slot.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If you do not need to use <b class="uiTerm">RPO</b>, set the <b class="uiTerm">Positioning Method</b> to <b class="uiTerm">Edge Offsets</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify the offset edges.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Apply</b> to create the feature.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If you want to create RPO dimensions, set the <b class="uiTerm">Positioning Method </b>to <b class="uiTerm">RPO</b>. Do not select any offset edges.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Press <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Apply</b> to create the feature's tool body.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If the placement face is non&ndash;planar you must select a face (or datum plane) for RPO positioning. Specify <b class="uiTerm">RPO Dimensions</b> just as you would for other Modeling features.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Apply</b> to create the slot.
            </p>
         </li>
