      </table><br><p class="para_division">The following process is common in creating a flat pattern from a given ply and infinite stock material (assume you have already set up the environment variable and menu file, described in <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('fabricflat/dialog.html');return(false);">Dialog Box</a>).
      </p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Before entering Fabric Flattener, the part should contain a body from which a ply face will be selected.&nbsp;We recommend that you create a start point on the ply. It is also desirable to define geometry for orientation, stock, and so on.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Open the part file that includes ply and stock geometry. If there is no stock in the part, you can create one or assume an unlimited stock.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the ply faces to generate the flat pattern. Specify a start point on the ply as the origin point for the flat pattern, and a fiber primary orientation vector for the ply.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">(Optional) Select stock face, start point, and orientation vector(s).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Input the fiber spacing for primary and secondary direction, according to the part's physical size. See <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('fabricflat/background.html');return(false);">Grid Size</a> for more detail.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">(Optional) Select the <b class="uiTerm">Flat Pattern CSYS</b> (the coordinates on which to put the flat pattern).
            </p>
         </li>

      <p class="para_division">Select <b class="uiTerm">Apply</b> to launch the <b class="uiTerm">Flattener Solver</b> and create a flat pattern.
