      <p class="para_division">You can specify a r&ndash;value (average strain ratio or normal anisotropy) or select area preserve, which is equivalent to specifying an infinite r value. The r&ndash;value is a property of the material being formed and will affect how the bridge is mapped to other states. Higher r&ndash;values represent higher resistance to thinning when the material is being stretched or resistance to thickening when the material is being compressed. The default value of 1.0 corresponds to a homogeneous material.</p>

      <p class="para_division">This button displays the <b class="uiTerm">Bend Allowance Formula</b> dialog box. You can choose a bend allowance formula from the list or key in your own formula.

      <div class="title_division">Construction method</div>
      <div class="title_division">Unite</div>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Unite</b> option controls how the <b class="uiTerm">Bridge</b> feature unites with its construction geometry. You may choose from <b class="uiTerm">None</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Base</b>, and <b class="uiTerm">Target</b>. Because the creation of a bridge involves approximations, sometimes the <b class="uiTerm">Unite</b> operation will fail. You can improve the changes of success of you specify a tolerance that is no more than 10 times the Modeling<b class="uiTerm">Distance Tolerance</b>.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Tolerance</div>
      <p class="para_division">This parameter defines the tolerance that is used to construct the b&ndash;surface geometry of the <b class="uiTerm">Bridge</b> feature. This value may be defined as follows:
      </p>

            <p class="para_item">Constant &ndash; The tolerance may be defined as a constant. The value entered in the dynamic input box can be any valid NX expression.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Inferred &ndash; The bridge thickness is initially inferred from the Modeling<b class="uiTerm"> Distance Tolerance</b>. However, you may replace this value with any valid NX expression, if necessary.
            </p>
         </li>
