      <p class="para_topic">The <b class="uiTerm">Solid Punch</b> feature makes creating the lance type of feature much easier. <b class="uiTerm">Solid Punch</b> uses a user&ndash;supplied solid body to create the solid punch. The following steps will use the solid body (shown below) to create a solid punch.

            <p class="para_item">The first step in creating the solid punch is to create a block/extrusion that will be the target body for the solid punch. The position of the tool body may be relative to the target body before creating the solid tool body may be relative to the target body before creating the solid punch or positioned during the creation of the solid punch. We recommend that you locate the tool body relative to the target body before creation.&nbsp;The figure below shows the tool body positioned on the target body.&nbsp;The figure also shows the selection for the target face and the tool solid for the solid punch.</p>

            <p class="para_item">The figure below shows the faces you need to pick to define the pierce faces for the solid punch. The pierce face is the same as the pierce face in the hollow feature. The pierce faces illustrate The pierce faces illustrated in this example are the same on each side of the tool body. This means that a face that is on one side of the body needs its duplicate face on the other side picked.</p>
