      </table><br><p class="para_topic">A projection face is a face, which projects to the flat pattern. When you project the face to the flat pattern, it does not distort the adjacent faces. Flat pattern application will map only the common edge or edges between projection face and underlying area&ndash;preserving faces. The projection faces themselves do not map. All curves that result from a projection face has an attribute that identifies it as such. A stiffening bead is an example of an object that the system would select as a projection. The first figure shows a stiffening bead. The second figure shows the resulting flat pattern.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">Once you choose <b class="uiTerm">Projection Faces</b>, the status will change to Highlighting projection faces. All of the faces that were automatically identified or previously selected as projection faces will highlight. The <b class="uiTerm">Class Selection</b> dialog box is displayed and the cue prompts you to: Select projection faces. You may then select the faces, which are to be projected. Once you select a face, the status changes to: Choose <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> to finish selecting projection faces. You may then select more projection faces or choose <b class="uiTerm">OK</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Back</b>, or <b class="uiTerm">Cancel</b>.
