      <p class="para_topic">You can use either of <b class="uiTerm">Taper</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Simple Miter</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Full Miter</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Butt Joints</b> on left/right sides of the flange. You can set the joint type for the left/right sides through <b class="uiTerm">Option&rarr;Side Options</b>. The left and right side of the flange can be determined by looking at the flange from the outside of the end with the bend at the top. A graphic illustration might help.

      <p class="para_topic">In this manner anyone who looks at an existing flange can readily determine left and right without knowledge of how flange was created.</p>

                  <p class="para_warning_body">CAUTION: With the above definition, if you edit a flange and change the bend direction, the flange's left and right will reverse. However, the flange's left and right are not effected by changing the sign of the process factor in <b class="uiTerm">Part in Process</b>.

      <p class="para_topic">You can select a particular joint type for left and right sides through the <b class="uiTerm">Flange Options</b> dialog box. When you do, only the parameters related to that type will display in the scroll windows under <b class="uiTerm">Left Side Parameters</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Right Side Parameters</b>.
