      </table><br><p class="para_topic">To create a <b class="uiTerm">Multibend Bracket</b> feature, perform the following steps:
      </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select geometry sufficient to define a base plane. A plane could be defined using numerous techniques, such as, a planar face, an arc, a line and point, or three points.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Flip the material direction (denoted by a temporary vector display) if necessary. Specify an offset distance if desired.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Set the material thickness. This thickness applies to the entire bracket.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Add a bend to the base plane. This action adds a node to the tree list. Select reference geometry to define the plane for that bend. Flip the material direction if necessary. Specify a bend radius and bend allowance formula. Specify an offset from the plane if desired.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Add additional bends as necessary. Bends can be added to any node in the tree lists. Select the node on the tree list that is to be the parent of the new bend node. <b class="uiTerm">Select Add Bend</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select geometry to define the plane of each new bend. Specify other bend parameter as well.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">To determine the intersection between a bend plane and some other plane, select Add Intersection, then select geometry to define the plane. Specify the material thickness of that plane in the <b class="uiTerm">Intersection Thickness</b> box. The intersection between the two plane will be generated and can be used a reference geometry in the sketch. These intersection lines can be used to trim the sketch outline, for example, to prevent self&ndash;intersections or create weld joints.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">After all bends have been specified, enter the <b class="uiTerm">Sketch Tools</b>. The system unfolds the reference geometry for each bend (using the proper radius and bend allowance formula) onto the base plane. This unfolded geometry is added to a sketch as reference geometry. Using normal <b class="uiTerm">Sketcher</b> functions, construct the outline of the bracket. Note that only active geometry will be extruded to define the bracket. The active geometry in the sketch must form a set of closed loops, with one loop forming the outline and other loops defining interior cutouts.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">When the sketch is complete, exit the <b class="uiTerm">Sketch Tools</b> dialog box to return to the <b class="uiTerm">Multibend Bracket</b> dialog box. Make any further adjustments as needed.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select <b class="uiTerm">Apply</b> or <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> to build the multibend bracket.

      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Multibend Bracket</b> dialog box includes selection steps.       <div class="title_division">Tree list</div>
      <p class="para_division">The tree list controls the target for each action within the <b class="uiTerm">Multibend Bracket</b> dialog box. Selecting geometry defines the plane for the highlighted node. In addition, functions such as <b class="uiTerm">Add Bend</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Delete Bend</b>, and <b class="uiTerm">Set Inner Radius</b> applies to the highlighted node. You can reach the <b class="uiTerm">Add Bend</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Delete Bend</b> functions by clicking the right mouse button on the node.
