      <p class="para_topic">With NX Sheet Metal, you can show views of your solid part in both the formed and unformed states:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">After completing your NX Sheet Metal part, create a <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('nx_sheet_metal/flatsolid_over.html');return(false);">Flat Solid</a> feature in your part and move it to a different layer.
            </p>

         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Create a <b class="uiTerm">Flat Pattern</b> feature using the <b class="uiTerm">Flat Solid</b> feature as the base body.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter the Drafting application and create views of the formed solid part. </p>

         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">Base View</b> and choose FLAT-PATTERN from the list of available views. 
            </p>

            <p class="para_item">Add the flat pattern view just as you would any other part view.</p>

      </ol>
      <p class="para_topic">Note that for the flat pattern view to be visible, the layer that the flat pattern curves were placed on (according to your <b class="uiTerm">Customer Defaults</b>) must be a visible layer. If you are placing the flat pattern view and do not see any resulting geometry, check your layer settings.
