      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Cutouts, reference points and hole patterns on the surface to be flattened are called features. The <b class="uiTerm">Flat Pattern</b> function locates features on the surface to be unformed relative to the node points generated by the unforming algorithm. These features are then mapped to the unformed outline in the same manner as the weave traces.

      <p class="para_topic">You gain many advantages by being able to locate the features on the original flat stock. Holes can be more easily drilled, shapes more easily formed, and lineup reference points established for aligning multi&ndash;ply lay&ndash;ups.</p>
