      <p class="para_topic">This feature lets you create a sheet metal flange on a planar face. The flange can then be shown in the fully formed (as designed) state, in a fully unformed (flat) state, or in an intermediate state.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can access the <b class="uiTerm">Flange</b> dialog box from <b class="uiTerm">Modeling&rarr;Insert&rarr;Sheet Metal Feature&rarr;Flange</b> or from the <b class="uiTerm">Sheet Metal Feature</b> tool bar. To edit a flange, use <b class="uiTerm">Modeling&rarr;Edit&rarr;Feature</b> or the <b class="uiTerm">Edit Feature</b> tool bar.

      <p class="para_division">The steps for creating a sheet metal flange are:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select a straight edge.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Edit the desired parameter values.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose a method for positioning the flange.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Apply</b> to create the flange.
            </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">The following parameters can be used to customize your flange. These parameters are initially set to default values.</p>

            <p class="para_item">Specify the <b class="uiTerm">Flange Parameters</b> (optional).
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify left side taper/miter/butt parameters and <b class="uiTerm">Right Side Taper/Miter/Butt</b> parameters using <b class="uiTerm">Options</b> (optional).
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Re&ndash;specify the direction of the flange using <b class="uiTerm">Flip Bend Direction</b> (optional).
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Re&ndash;specify the options for the thickness and/or left/right tapers/miters/butt using <b class="uiTerm">Options</b> (optional).
