      </table><br><p class="para_topic">In some cases, adjacent faces in the body should not be adjacent in the flat pattern. To separate the faces, you can select edges where the flat pattern is cut. When you select the <b class="uiTerm">Cutting Edges</b> button, the status changes to <b class="uiTerm">Highlighting</b> cutting edges and highlights all of the edges automatically identified or previously selected as cutting edges. Next a <b class="uiTerm">Class Selection</b> dialog box is displayed and the Cue prompts you to Select cutting edges. You may then select edges on the body. Once you select an edge, the status changes to Choose <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> to finish selecting cutting edges. You may then select additional edges or choose <b class="uiTerm">OK</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Back</b>, or <b class="uiTerm">Cancel</b>.

      <p class="para_topic">An example of how you can use edges for cutting appears below. In the example below, hollowing out a cube has created a tub. The tub will be manufactured by folding up the sides of the tub and welding the edges. Instead of trying to model the corners of the tub to represent the sheet metal part, the corners are left square. The next figure shows the resulting flat pattern.</p>
