      </table><br><p class="para_topic">After you press <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Apply</b> on the main dialog box, you will be asked if a new body should be created for the base pad or it if should be united to some existing body. You may use the <b class="uiTerm">Unite</b> option to build a single bracket that consists of several flanges. After choosing one of these options, the system will build the base pad and the flange or general flange features. It will then unform the flange and allow you to edit the bracket outline.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Edit outline</div>
      <p class="para_division">After building the bracket and unforming the flange, you are given the opportunity to edit the bracket outline. The default outline extends from the clearance circles to the ends of the base face &ndash; reference face intersection curve. You may edit the outline repositioning the points on the intersection curve. You may edit each intersection curve end point independently. The end points are labeled <b class="uiTerm">Point 1</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Point 2</b>. The buttons on the <b class="uiTerm">Edit Outline</b> dialog box refer to <b class="uiTerm">Point 1</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Point 2</b>, respectively.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">While editing one of the intersection curve end points, a temporary point marker will indicate the new position of the point. When you press <b class="uiTerm">OK</b>, the outline will update. If you press <b class="uiTerm">Back</b>, the geometry you created will be removed, and control will return to the main dialog box.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Editing methods</div>
      <p class="para_division">You are given several editing methods:</p>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Normal to Curve</b> option moves the intersection curve end point to a position such that the outline is tangent to the base face clearance circle and normal to the intersection curve at that point. The tangent line on the flange side will meet that point, but it might not be normal to the curve. This option is not available if there are no clearance points on the base face. In the figure below, the original outline appears in black and the modified outline is in red.

      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Between Circles</b> option moves the intersection curve end point to lie on the line that is tangent to the clearance circles on the base face and the reference face. This option is not available if there are no clearance pints. In the figure below, the original outline is shown in black and the modified outline is in red.

      <div class="title_division">Along vector</div>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Along Vector</b> option lets you choose the direction of the outline on the base face. The system presents the <b class="uiTerm">Vector Constructor</b> dialog box. You may select any vector. The system will project the vector onto the base face plane and move the intersection curve end point to lie on a line that is parallel to the specified vector and tangent to the base face clearance circle. The tangent line on the flange side will meet that point. If the specified vector and tangent line does not intersect the base face &ndash; reference face intersection curve, an error is given. In the figure below, the original outline appears in black and the modified outline is in red.

      <div class="title_division">Drag point</div>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Drag Point</b> option lets you interactively drag the intersection curve end point along the curve. The point starts at one end of the intersection curve (0% or 100%). Use the slider to reposition the point anywhere along the curve. It is not possible to extend beyond the original intersection curve endpoints.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Point constructor</div>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Point Constructor</b> option lets you pick any point in space to serve as the intersection curve end point. The system will project the point onto the intersection curve, then create a line from that point that is tangent to the clearance circles. In the figure below, the original outline appears in black and the modified outline is in red.

      <div class="title_division">Reset</div>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Reset</b> option is a convenience function that simply moves the intersection curve end point to its original position.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Create bracket</div>
      <p class="para_division">Press <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Apply</b> on the <b class="uiTerm">Edit Outline</b> dialog box to complete the construction of the bracket. The system creates a <b class="uiTerm">Bracket</b> feature then forms the flange.
