      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Width is the horizontal width at the base of the flange. The figure below shows how the input value is used in both a normal and tapered flange. Notice that the width includes the bend reliefs, if present.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">The calculated inset value depends on the thickness, angle and radius. If you change one of these three values and then press &lt;Enter&gt;, a new value is calculated for the inset. However, if you press &lt;Enter&gt; while any other dynamic input box is highlighted, it is the same as choosing <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> on the dialog box, which causes the inset flange feature to be created.

      <p class="para_topic"><b class="uiTerm">Bend Relief</b> is the width of the relief (either diameter or size). Whether these boxes are active depends on the values of <b class="uiTerm">Left Relief</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Right Relief</b> in the <b class="uiTerm">Inset Flange Parameter Options</b> dialog box (see the following figure). If the corresponding value is None, the label and entry boxes are grayed out (inactive).

      <p class="para_topic">The relief width value must be greater than or equal to the material thickness.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">This button displays a dialog box that lets you specify how certain parameters on the <b class="uiTerm">Inset Flange Parameters</b> dialog box should be treated. <b class="uiTerm">Thickness</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Length</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Angle</b>, and <b class="uiTerm">Radius</b> have the same meaning as in the <b class="uiTerm">Flange</b> dialog box.       <div class="title_division">Inset </div>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Inset</b> option menu describes how the inset is to be calculated. The flange inset may be specified as the distance from the attachment face to the outside, DIN, or inside mold line, distance to the outside or inside bend tangent line, or distance to the flange base. These options are described and illustrated in the following sections.

                  <p class="para_note_body">Regardless of the method used, the calculated inset of the flange base into the base feature must be at least the material thickness, or an error generates.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Use expression</div>
      <p class="para_division">With this <b class="uiTerm">Inset</b> method, the expression entered is used as the amount to inset the flange base from the attachment face. In the example shown in the figure below, using a given value or expression for the flange inset yields the same inset regardless of the design (bend) angle or radius.

      <div class="title_division">Outer tangent line</div>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Inset</b> is calculated as the distance from the attachment face to the bend tangent line on the outside face of the flange. In the example shown in the illustration below, using a given value for the outer bend tangent inset yields different results for the flange inset depending on the design (bend) angle or radius. The general formula is:
