      </table><br><div class="title_division">Self&ndash;forming features vs. Non&ndash;self&ndash;forming features</div>
      <p class="para_division">Self&ndash;forming features (also called formable features) are capable of changing their state to represent formed and unformed conditions. The <b class="uiTerm">Unbend/Rebend</b> operators form and unform the geometry of upstream features. To accomplish this, the upstream features must be non&ndash;self&ndash;forming.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">Before the <b class="uiTerm">Unbend/Rebend</b> operation is applied, the system will check for any parent features that are self&ndash;forming. If any are found, the <b class="uiTerm">Convert Parents</b> dialog box will appear to confirm that these self&ndash;forming parents will be converted into non&ndash;self&ndash;forming parents.
      </p>

      <p class="para_division">The system may also create one or more of the following features to preprocess the faces which cross the boundaries of the bend region:</p>
      <p class="para_division">BOUNDED_PLANE</p>
      <p class="para_division">INTERSECTION_CURVES</p>
      <p class="para_division">SUBDIVIDE_FACE</p>
      <p class="para_division">FACE_SUBDIVISION feature set</p>
