      </table><br><p class="para_topic">When using the <b class="uiTerm">Parameters</b> method, you must enter the parameters that define the plus, bends, and webs. These parameters may be defined using constant values or by defining laws. You may define parameters for up to 12 bend/web combinations, called Steps. You can define all of these values in two ways:
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic"><em>Constant</em> &ndash; Enter any valid expression to define a constant value (for example, it yields a constant value as it is evaluated along the spine). An expression will be created for each constant value you supply.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic"><em>Law Controlled</em> &ndash; This launches the <b class="uiTerm">Law Subfunction</b>, which you can use to define a value that changes along the length of the general flange. If the law method is one of the Values Along Spine methods it is important that the direction of the spine be consistent with the direction of the bend edge as indicated by the <b class="uiTerm">START</b> label.       <p class="para_topic">If you have <b class="uiTerm">Preferences&rarr;Sheet Metal&rarr;Use Feature Standards</b> turned on, the  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/image336.gif" border="0"> button on each box will give you a list of standard acceptable values.

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Reverse Bend Direction</b></p>

               <p class="para_td">Upon selecting the bend string, the system displays a vector that defines the direction of a positive bend angle. Switch <b class="uiTerm">Reverse Bend Direction</b> to cause the general flange to build in the opposite direction. By default, the bend direction will be in the direction of the face normal of the tangent face.
               </p>

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Plus</b></p>

               <p class="para_td">The <b class="uiTerm">Plus</b> allows you to extend the tangent faces before attaching the bend. Since you can only insert the <b class="uiTerm">Plus</b> before the first step, this box is only available when defining the first step. Specify the <b class="uiTerm">Plus</b> as either a constant or law&ndash;controlled value. The <b class="uiTerm">Plus</b> must be zero or positive.
               </p>

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Step Data</b></p>

               <p class="para_td">The <b class="uiTerm">Step Data</b> box lets you define bend and web parameters for each step. The option menu contains setting for all defined steps as well as boxes to add and delete steps. Set the menu to a step number (Step 1, Step 2, etc.) and the bend and web parameter boxes populate with the values for that step. Select the <b class="uiTerm">Add</b> option to add a new step following the current step. The bend and web parameter boxes are populated with default values. The maximum number of steps is 12. Select the <b class="uiTerm">Delete</b> option to delete the current step. There must be at least one step.
               </p>

               <p class="para_td">The<b class="uiTerm"> Radius</b> box controls the bend radius of the current step. Specify the radius as either a constant or law controlled value. You may define either the <b class="uiTerm">Inner</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Outer</b> radius. The outer radius must be greater than the thickness, or the thicken operation will fail and the general flange will be created as a sheet body. The minimum allowable radius is the modeling tolerance.
               </p>

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Angle</b></p>

               <p class="para_td">The <b class="uiTerm">Angle</b> box defines the bend angle in degrees. Specify the angle as either a constant or law controlled value. A positive value bends the general flange in the direction of the displayed bend vector. The angle may have any value between &ndash;360 and 360 , but not zero, plus or minus the modeling angular tolerance.
