      </table><br><p class="para_topic">When you choose <b class="uiTerm">Information&rarr;Routing Mechanical / Routing Electrical&rarr;Path Length</b>, the dialog box displays. If you choose <b class="uiTerm">Detail Report</b> the individual and total lengths of the objects displays. If you choose <b class="uiTerm">Summary Report</b>, only the total length displays.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The <b class="uiTerm">Method Tool</b> palette allows you to pick the routing objects on which length to report. Use <b class="uiTerm">Standard</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Path</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Routing</b>, or <b class="uiTerm">Branch</b> selection method. The system only allows you to use one of the four selection methods at any given time. If you switch between the selection methods, the objects selected using the earlier selection method will be lost.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">If you choose the <b class="uiTerm">Standard</b> selection method, the cue line prompts: Select routing objects. This allows selection of segments or components from the graphics screen.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">If you choose <b class="uiTerm">Path</b> selection method, the cue line prompts: Select state of path. When you complete the selection of the starting object that represents the path, the cue line changes to: Select end of path. Once you select the ending object, the program will determine the path formed between the starting and the ending objects and it will highlight. You can deselect starting and end objects in this method. Once you extract the path from the <b class="uiTerm">Start</b> and<b class="uiTerm"> End Objects</b>, de-selection is disabled.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">If you choose the <b class="uiTerm">Routing</b> selection method, the cue line prompts: Select an object in routing. You can use the selected object to determine the routing and all selectable objects from this routing is highlighted.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">If you choose the <b class="uiTerm">Branch</b> selection method, the cue line prompts: Select root segment for branch. You can use The selected object to determine the branch in the routing and all the objects that form the branch will highlight.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The default method is <b class="uiTerm">Standard</b> when the dialog box launches for the first time.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The <b class="uiTerm">Report Mode</b> radio box allows you to specify the type of report generated by the program. The path length reports in the standard NX <b class="uiTerm">Information Window</b>. If you choose report method as <b class="uiTerm">Detailed</b>, the program shows the lengths of individual segments and components that form the path, as well as the total length of the path. If you used <b class="uiTerm">Standard</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Routing</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Branch</b> selection method, the program shows the lengths of the segments and the components in the ascending order of their lengths. If you choose the <b class="uiTerm">Path</b> selection method, the lengths arrange from start to end object of the selected path (segments and components). If the report method is set to <b class="uiTerm">Summary</b>, only the total length of the selected segments and components appears. The default report mode is <b class="uiTerm">Detailed</b> when the dialog box launches for the first time. When you select only one component for path length report, no report generates.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can re-select the objects using <b class="uiTerm">Re-select</b> button. The <b class="uiTerm">Re-select</b> button is insensitive when the dialog box launches for the first time since there are no selections made. The button becomes insensitive again when you deselect all the selected objects from the graphics window.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> button shows the computed path length and the <b class="uiTerm">Path Length</b> dialog box terminates.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The <b class="uiTerm">Apply</b> button shows the path length with the <b class="uiTerm">Path Length</b> dialog box still visible.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The <b class="uiTerm">Cancel</b> button terminates the <b class="uiTerm">Path Length</b> dialog box and nothing reports.
