      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Throughout Routing Mechanical, there are places where the selection of all or part of a routing is required. The <b class="uiTerm">Routing Object Selection</b> dialog box (below) allows individual selections or chained selections using four different methods.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The <b class="uiTerm">Method</b> tool palette allows you to pick the routing objects by using <b class="uiTerm">Standard</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Path</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Branch</b>, or Routing selection methods.
      </p>

               <p class="para_td">Allows selection of RCPs, segments, stock or components from the graphics screen.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Requires selection of a start object and an end object. Selecting the end object highlights the path between the starting and the ending objects. This method allows deselecting starting and ending objects.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Select one object to use the <b class="uiTerm">Branch Method</b>. The selected object determines the branch in the routing and all the objects that form the branch are highlighted as being selected. Note that typically a segment is the type of object chosen as the object for selecting the branch. The end of the segment selected is important as it determines the direction followed to define the branch. The end of the segment closest to the selection point is the base of the branch.

               <p class="para_td">Select one object to use the <b class="uiTerm">Routing Method</b>. All routing objects that are a member of the routing to which the selected object is a member are selected and highlighted.
               </p>

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Stock</b> options
               </p>
            </td>
            <td bgcolor="#f7f7f7" colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Controls the stock included in the selection. When this option is set to <b class="uiTerm">All</b>, all the stock referenced by the segments in the selection list are selected. When set to <b class="uiTerm">Specified</b>, only the stock objects selected using the <b class="uiTerm">Specify Stock</b> dialog box is included in the selection.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td">The <b class="uiTerm">Specify Stock</b> button triggers the dialog box that allows you to choose stock objects to add to the selection list from the list of available stocks. <b class="uiTerm">Add</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Remove</b> buttons, (up arrow and down arrow respectively), are used to move the stock names from one list to another. The <b class="uiTerm">Information</b> button <img align="bottom" src="graphics/i_button.gif" border="0"> obtains information about the currently selected stock

               <p class="para_td">&nbsp;<b class="uiTerm">Deselect Last</b></p>
            </td>
            <td bgcolor="#f7f7f7" colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Allows you to deselect the last set of objects added to the selection list. The label on this button changes between <b class="uiTerm">Reselect</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Deselect Last</b>, based on the last selection action performed. <b class="uiTerm">Reselect</b> allows you to select the last set of deselected objects.
               </p>
