      <p class="para_topic">The single navigator manages <b class="uiTerm">Logical Association Objects (LAOs</b>). The navigator is available whenever the Routing Electrical application is active. Each node corresponds to an LAO. Each LAO has a reference name that is assigns automatically using the form LAO_&lt;n&gt;, where &lt;n&gt; is an integer one greater than any other currently in use (the LAO reference name may be changed, as described below). The <b class="uiTerm">LAO Navigator</b> invokes from the <b class="uiTerm">Logical Association</b> button on the Routing Electrical toolbar.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The navigator has two columns. The first column displays the reference name of each LAO in the work part. You can expand each LAO node to show two sub&ndash;nodes; <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b>. You may collapse a node to hide these sub&ndash;nodes. The navigator cannot be re&ndash;configured (the columns cannot be changed).
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The second column shows the condition of the LAO, either <b class="uiTerm">Routed</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Unrouted</b>.

               <p class="para_td">Selection and deselection enable for components, routing segments, stock and overstock.</p>
               <p class="para_td">Components that are not a <b class="uiTerm">Target Entity</b> or a <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> are not selectable. When you select a connector from the graphics screen, all LAO nodes for which the connector is the <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> are highlighted. Previously highlighted nodes remain highlighted. If a connector is deselected then all LAO nodes for which the connector is the <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> are unhighlighted in the tree list.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td">When you select a component that is not a connector, the LAO in which the component is listed as a target entity is highlighted in navigator. Previously highlighted nodes remain highlighted. When a component that is not a connector is deselected, the LAO in which the component lists as a target entity is unhighlighted in the tree list.</p>
               <p class="para_td">Segments that are not a <b class="uiTerm">Target Entity</b> or a <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> are not selectable. When a segment is selected from the graphics screen, all LAO nodes for which the segment is a <b class="uiTerm">Target Entity</b> or the <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> are highlighted. Previously highlighted nodes remain highlighted. When a segment is deselected from the graphics screen, all LAO nodes for which the segment is the <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> are unhighlighted.
               </p>

               <p class="para_td">You can edit the reference names of a LAO, a <b class="uiTerm">Target Entity</b> and a <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> by holding the cursor over the existing name and doing a slow double click. Any actions taken in the navigator while a DA2 is active will cause an implied <b class="uiTerm">Cancel</b> in the DA2.
               </p>

                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">General Rules: If a shortcut menu node is highlighted, the chosen operation is applied to it and all other applicable highlighted nodes. If the node is not highlighted when you select the right&ndash;click menu option, the node becomes the only highlighted node and the chosen operation applies to that node only. This functionality is identical to interactions within the <b class="uiTerm">Assembly Navigator</b>.
                     </p>
                     <ul>
                        <li>
                           <p class="para_item">If the <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> of the <b class="uiTerm">LAO</b> is a connector, only the <b class="uiTerm">Add/Remove</b> option is sensitive.
                           </p>
                        </li>
                        <li>
                           <p class="para_item">The shortcut menu command <b class="uiTerm">Always Include All Stock</b> is present if the <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> is a segment. This option is a checked/unchecked menu option.
                           </p>
                        </li>
                        <li>
                           <p class="para_item">The shortcut menu commands <b class="uiTerm">Add All Existing Stock</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Remove All Stock</b> are present if the <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> is a segment. These two options are insensitive if <b class="uiTerm">Always Include All Stock</b> is checked.
                           </p>
                        </li>
                     </ul>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">White Space: If the cursor is over white space, the right&ndash;click menu options are <b class="uiTerm">New</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Expand All</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Select All</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Collapse All</b>. Clicking while the cursor is over white space deselects and unhighlights any selected nodes.
                     </p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">LAO</b> Node: If the cursor is over an <b class="uiTerm">LAO</b> node, the right&ndash;click menu options are <b class="uiTerm">Delete</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Perform</b>, and <b class="uiTerm">Reverse Condition</b>.
                     </p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b> heading: If the cursor is over the <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b> heading (over the words <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b>), the shortcut menu commands are <b class="uiTerm">Add/Remove Target Entities</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Add All Existing Stock</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Always Include All Stock</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Remove All Stock</b>.

                     <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> heading: If the cursor is over the <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> heading (over the words <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b>), the right&ndash;click menu option is <b class="uiTerm">Select Control Entity</b>.

                     <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Target Entity Name</b>: If the cursor is over the name of a target entity, the only shortcut menu command is <b class="uiTerm">Remove</b>. Stock cannot be removed if the <b class="uiTerm">Always Include All Stock</b> property has been set on the <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b> heading; therefore <b class="uiTerm">Remove</b> is insensitive for stock items if <b class="uiTerm">Always Include All Stock Property</b> is set. A double click allows the entity to be renamed.
                     </p>
                  </li>

                     <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Control Entity Name</b>: If the cursor is over the name of the <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> of an LAO, the only shortcut menu command is <b class="uiTerm">Select Control Entity</b>. A double click allows the entity to be renamed.

               <p class="para_td">Each LAO node has a check box. The check box indicates if the LAO is enabled (box is checked) or disabled (box not checked). Each box may be checked individually, or all selected nodes can have their check boxes updated by selecting the check box of one of the selected nodes (all selected nodes will take the same value, checked or not, of the box that is chosen).</p>
               <p class="para_td">Note that when a LAO is disabled (check box not checked), all <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b> for that LAO are immediately returned to the previously displayed state.
               </p>

               <p class="para_td">An LAO cannot exist without a Control Entity. If during processing a <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> is determined to not exist for a particular LAO then that LAO is removed.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td">An LAO may have no <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b>. If this case is detected the <b class="uiTerm">LAO</b> is disabled.
               </p>
