      <p class="para_division">This tutorial guides you through the following steps:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Importing a PCB design represented by ECAD files using PCB.xchange. The PCB design is represented as an NX assembly. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Modifying the PCB design using NX commands and the PCB.xchange toolbar. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Exporting the modified PCB design (typically back to the ECAD system) by means of IDF files. </p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <div class="title_division">PCB.xchange Toolbar: Open PCB.xchange</div>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Start NX, and choose <b class="uiTerm">Start</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">All Applications</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">PCB.xchange</b>. The PCB menu and toolbar appear.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click the <b class="uiTerm">Open PCB.xchange</b> button (or from the menu bar, choose <b class="uiTerm">PCB.exchange</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Open PCB.exchange</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <div class="title_division">PCB.xchange: Import and examine ECAD files</div>
      <p class="para_division">The sample ECAD files are located in the directory  <i class="fileName">%MAYA_PCB_DIR%\examples</i> ( <i class="fileName">$MAYA_PCB_DIR/examples</i> on UNIX):
      </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">sample_board_1.brd (IDF board file) </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">sample_board_1.pro (IDF components library file) </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose  <b class="uiTerm">File</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Settings</b>, and make sure the Board and Library file extensions are set to &quot;brd&quot; and &quot;pro&quot; respectively. 
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose  <b class="uiTerm">File</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Read</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">ECAD Model</b>, and select the file sample_board_1.brd. Click <b class="uiTerm">OK</b>. The board and components appear in the PCB.xchange graphics window. 
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">You can use the <b class="uiTerm">View</b> menu to control your display. Use the View toolbar to rotate, zoom or pan.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click the <b class="uiTerm">View / PCB Assembly Info</b> button to display detailed information about the current PCB assembly in your web browser. 
            </p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <div class="title_division"> PCB.xchange: Create the NX assembly, board and component parts</div>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose  <b class="uiTerm">File</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Write</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Write NX Model</b> to export the PCB assembly to an NX assembly. You must specify directories for the board and component parts, and the NX units (millimeters or inches). By default, the board part file name is the same as the ECAD PC board name. The filters can be used to remove ECAD entities from the model (restriction areas, drilled holes). Make sure the filter is deselected, since it is not needed for this simple board. When you click OK the NX &quot;.prt&quot; files are created. 
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose  <b class="uiTerm">File</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Exit</b> to close thePCB.xchange window. 
            </p>

      <div class="title_division">NX and PCB.xchange Toolbar: Modify the PCB model</div>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Open the board file that was created by PCB.xchange.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Use the NX Modeling and Assemblies applications to modify your PCB assembly (add, remove, reposition components, create new components, modify board geometry, modify component geometry). </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Use the PCB.xchange toolbar commands to modify the PCB entity attributes or add new entities. New entities (components, drilled holes, restriction areas) must be edited with the corresponding PCB.xchange toolbar commands in order to be identified as PCB entities. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Use the PCB.xchange toolbar command <b class="uiTerm"> Info/Validate Assembly</b> to get detailed information about your board. 
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Save your changes (board and component parts). </p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <div class="title_division"> PCB.xchange Toolbar: Exporting ECAD files</div>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose <b class="uiTerm">PCB.xchange</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Export ECAD Model</b>. On the menu that opens, select the board part file that you modified. Click OK.
            </p>
