      <p class="para_topic">Routing Mechanical may be set up to generate a PLM XML file when an mechanical assembly is saved. The PLM XML file is the primary interface to Teamcenter Integration (Version 10.0 or later), which may then create the Items within Teamcenter that represent the mechanical or logical design (stock, runs, spools, etc.).</p>

      <p class="para_topic">To enable the Teamcenter  interface, assure that the <b class="uiTerm">Customer Setting</b> is turned on that instructs NX to generate the PLM XML file upon <b class="uiTerm">Save</b>. This setting is accessed interactively through <b class="uiTerm">File&rarr;Utilities&rarr;Customer Defaults</b>. Under the <b class="uiTerm">Teamcenter Integration</b> <b class="uiTerm">General Features</b>tab, there is a setting switch for <em>Routing Data</em>. This setting may be turned on by default by modifying your ug_nxmanager.dpx file.

      <p class="para_topic">With <b class="uiTerm">Routing Data</b> turned on, the PLM XML file is generated and, provided Teamcenter Integration is running and set up appropriately, Teamcenter Integration will read the file and update the database accordingly (as seen through the PSE).

      <p class="para_topic">All stock part family members should be generated in Teamcenter. If the stock family member parts do not exist, the stock will not appear in the Teamcenter database. Use the <b class="uiTerm">Part Family Spreadsheet</b> option to create all members.
