      <p class="para_topic">Version 4.0 of the IDF specification contains significant changes in format and function compared to IDF 3.0. PCB.xchange can read an IDF 4.0 file, modify it, and write to IDF 4.0 without any loss of data. However, PCB.xchange does not support any of the new IDF 4.0 functionality when writing to an NX model. Only the data types supported for IDF 3.0 are preserved when writing an IDF 4.0 file. However, PCB.xchange can write to IDF 4.0 format.</p>
