      <p class="para_topic"><b class="uiTerm">Qualify Part</b> is accessed from the toolbar by selecting the button shown above.<b class="uiTerm">Qualify Part</b> is not generally used for day-to-day routing system design, but rather for adding parts to the standard library.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic"><b class="uiTerm">Qualify Part</b> allows you to add Routing specific intelligence to a part file. This intelligence dictates how that part places into a routing assembly, how it relates to other parts in the routing assembly, and how it behaves during routing operations. <b class="uiTerm">Qualify Part</b> provides the exclusive interface for creating Routing specific objects in a part file that carries this intelligence. These objects are ports, anchors, terminals, built&ndash;in paths, cross section curves and characteristics.

      <div class="title_division">Route part type</div>
      <p class="para_division">Choose the type of part you are qualifying by choosing one of the <b class="uiTerm">Route Part Type</b> buttons. Additionally, choose the subsidiary type from the menu.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">Two basic types of route parts exist; <b class="uiTerm">Fitting</b>, and <b class="uiTerm">Stock</b>. A <b class="uiTerm">Fitting</b> part is either a fitting or a template assembly, composed of two or more fitting parts. A <b class="uiTerm">Stock</b> part is either a stock, such as pipe, tube, conduit, etc. or is an overstock part.&nbsp;An overstock is any material that covers stock, which may be sleeved, wrapped, flagged or fixed.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">The key difference between fitting parts and stock parts is that fittings contain ports and stock contains cross sections.&nbsp;You use the ports of a fitting part to connect the part to other parts with ports or to stock. The cross sections in stock parts define the shape of the stock, which may be round, rectangular, or any closed shape made up of lines and arcs.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Routing object definition</div>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Qualify Part</b> dialog box shows a tree containing the routing objects that exist in the work part. Using this dialog box, you select routing objects to create, edit or delete.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">There are six buttons along the bottom of the dialog box, described below. These buttons are sensitive based on the currently selected objects. You can access these functions by choosing the button or through the right&ndash;click option menus.</p>

      <p class="para_division">If you attempt to create build&ndash;in paths in a stock part, a <b class="uiTerm">Built&ndash;in Path in Stock Path</b> question window will appear: &ldquo;Stock parts should not contain built&ndash;in paths. Do you want to create a built&ndash;in path anyway?&rdquo;
