      <p class="para_division">Chose the shortcut menu command <b class="uiTerm">New</b> to create a new <b class="uiTerm">Logical Association</b>. This is a two step process, one to select the <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> and one to select the <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b>. First the <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> dialog box appears.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">The cue is: Select a connector or a segment as the <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b>.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">Only segments in the work part and connectors (first level components with defined pin ID's) that are also not already target entities are selectable. De-selection is not available from the <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> dialog box. Once a connector or a segment is selected, <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> is sensitive. You can make other selections but only the last is highlighted. When you select <b class="uiTerm">OK</b>, the <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b> dialog box appears.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">The cue is: Select Target Entities. If the <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> is a connector then the <b class="uiTerm">Add All Existing Stock</b> push button and <b class="uiTerm">Always Include All Stock</b> option are insensitive. Only segments and first level components (that are not in the active Route list) are selectable. When you select one entity, <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> is sensitive. You can select more entities to add to the list of target entities (standard selection list operations, such as shift&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Select</b> to <b class="uiTerm">Deselect</b>, are in effect. Rectangular selection is available.)
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">Choosing the <b class="uiTerm">Add All Existing Stock</b> option automatically adds the stock currently assigned to the control entity (a segment) to the selection list. You can manipulate the list further. &nbsp;<b class="uiTerm">Add All Existing Stock</b> selection for target entities operates as follows (from this push button and the right-click menu in the navigator:
      </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The <b class="uiTerm">Logical Association</b> object gets all stocks currently along the segment assigned as <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">You may remove and re&ndash;add stocks as you deem necessary. Stocks are manipulated as any other <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">Selecting <b class="uiTerm">Always Include All Stock</b> adds all stocks currently on the segment to the <b class="uiTerm">Target Entity</b> list. You cannot remove these stocks unless you change this property. Any new stock added to the segment later adds automatically to the <b class="uiTerm">LAO Target Entity</b> list.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">When you choose <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> from the <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b> dialog box, the new LAO node is added to the tree list. All highlighted entities will populate as the respective <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b>. The check box is initially checked (LAO enabled). The default value of Condition = Unrouted is assigned.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division"><b class="uiTerm">Back</b> is only sensitive in the <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b> dialog box if we are in the New operation as then the <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> dialog box would be presented. Selections are not applied if <b class="uiTerm">Back</b> is chosen.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">The default reference name entered by the system for the <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b> or the <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> (which you can always change) is defined by these rules:
      </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If the entity is a component then the default reference name is the component name,</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If the entity is a segment then the default name used is the segment's object name. If the segment does not have an object name, then the reference name is derived as SEGMENT_&lt;n&gt; where &lt;n&gt; is the integer one greater than any other currently in use.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Delete</div>
      <p class="para_division">All selected LAO nodes delete from the work part.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Perform</div>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Logical Associations</b> will normally perform when wires are routed or unrouted through the <b class="uiTerm">Route List</b> interface. However, you can perform the selected LAO's directly from the <b class="uiTerm">LAO Navigator</b> by choosing the <b class="uiTerm">Perform</b> option. Only those selected nodes are performed.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Select All</div>
      <p class="para_division"><b class="uiTerm">Select All</b> sets each LAO (root nodes) in the tree list as selected and highlighted.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Reverse condition</div>
      <p class="para_division"><b class="uiTerm">Reverse Condition</b> changes the condition of the selected LAO to its opposite value (<b class="uiTerm">Routed</b> to <b class="uiTerm">Unrouted</b> or vise versa).
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Add/Remove</div>
      <p class="para_division">This option allows entities to be added or removed from the list of <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b>. The <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b> dialog box appears with all the existing <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b> highlighted. Standard selection list tools are used to modify the set of entities.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">If you remove all entities from the target list, then the LAO still exists, but it doesn't do anything. The <b class="uiTerm">Enable</b> check box is turned off and insensitive until one or more <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b> are defined.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Remove</div>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Remove</b> option is available for <b class="uiTerm">Target Entities</b>. Choosing <b class="uiTerm">Remove</b> will cause the selected target entities to be removed from the <b class="uiTerm">Target Entity</b> list. If you remove all target entities from an <b class="uiTerm">LAO</b>, the <b class="uiTerm">LAO</b> is made disabled.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Select</div>
      <p class="para_division">Select allows the <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity</b> to be changed. The <b class="uiTerm">Control Entity Selection</b> dialog box is used.
      </p>
