      </table><br><div class="title_division">Creating a shape SOP</div>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Shape Tab</b> of the <b class="uiTerm">Create Path</b> dialog box has an option called <b class="uiTerm">Edit Position</b> under <b class="uiTerm">Mode</b> in the <b class="uiTerm">Edit Points</b> window. An existing spline segment definition point needs to be selectable before the <b class="uiTerm">Edit Position</b> option is available.

      <div class="title_division">Editing a shape SOP</div>
      <p class="para_division">On spline segment selection, SOP definition points are shown using temporarily display objects (splats) as being connected to the SOP origin via a dashed line (in the same system color as temporary splat). The splat does not have drag handles since its position is dependent on the SOP. This appears below for a <b class="uiTerm">Through Point</b> dependent on an SOP.

      <p class="para_division">Once a definition point is selected, options are available for editing the position of the point. </p>
      <p class="para_division">Choosing the <b class="uiTerm">Stock Offset Point</b> button invokes the <b class="uiTerm">SOP</b> dialog box, whether the selected point is dependent on an SOP or not. If the selected definition point is a SOP, then the current stock offset point parameters can be edited by choosing the <b class="uiTerm">Stock Offset Point</b> button. If the selected definition point is not a SOP, a new SOP can be defined to replace the selected definition point on the spline segment.
